Event Review BSSC Technical Skills Training Program “Enhance Your Digital Skills”

BSSC Technical Skills Training Program is an event organized by the Internal Affairs Division of BSSC 13th Presidency to better equip each BSSC staff with proper technical skills. The event was held onsite at BINUS Square from the 9th to 11th of June 2023, with the first and second day was held at BS301, while the last day was held at BSSC Secretary Room. The theme for this training program is “Enhance Your Digital Skills”, which aligns with the aim of this program, which is to improve staffs’ technical skills in poster design using Adobe Illustrator and website development.

The first day was held on the 9th of June 2023, with the topic of Adobe Illustrator (AI) Training. The focus was to explain the basics of design, and also to introduce AI tools to the participants. For this training, we invited Karen Christianty, staff of the External Affairs Division of BSSC 13th Presidency, as a speaker explaining about the basics of design, including what are the important things to look out for while creating a design, and then also introducing AI tools to the participants.

The second day was held on the 10th of June 2023, continuing the first day’s topic of Adobe Illustrator (AI) Training. Karen Christianty returned as the speaker, this time focusing on explaining more AI tools to the participants. They also got some practical learning, as they were tasked to create a poster based on the knowledge acquired from the previous day. Then, the speaker reviewed each poster, giving suggestions on how to improve each poster.

The third day was held on the 11th of June 2023, with the topic of IT Training. This training differs from the first and second day as it was attended only by the IT Subdivision of Internal Affairs Division. The speaker for this day was Kevin Wijaya, an alumni of BSSC 12th Presidency, who explained about the existing source code used in BSSC’s website, which consists of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Then, the participants were given the opportunity to discuss the future development of the BSSC website.
