Friendship is one of the strongest bonds, especially the friendship between parents and children. Being a child’s friend is also a form of parenting for children in the family. In addition to being friends with children, parents must also be role models for their children because the growth of behavior and character of children depends on what happens in the surrounding environment, especially in the family environment. Here are some things you can do to be friends with your children.

As good friends, we should always be there to listen to their friends’ stories. When we hear a story or a child’s complaint, we can give a good and logical response. When the child tells a story, we can give some questions or suggestions that can be accepted by the child. In addition, we can also occasionally respond to it by using wise sentences.

The slightest touch, such as a hug, will mean a lot to the child because when the child receives it, they will feel safe, comfortable, and loved. However, we still have to know the child’s personality because it could be that the child does not like to be hugged in front of his friends.
