Family Rally
On December 17th, 2017, Executive Committees (EXCOM) of BSSC held the 1st Gathering of BSSC 8th Presidency. The sheer number of participants of this event made it quite tasking for only 5 people to organize this together. So, not only acting as the “BIG” thing that bonds us together, it also acts as the grand benchmark of how capable the EXCOM of BSSC 8th Presidency are. Held at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, Gathering I was an absolute blast despite the occasional mild showers.
Gathering I is a classic, “get together” type of event, and that, is why it was so successful. A variety of games, held at 5 different posts that was located far away from one another, gave the participants a sense of adventure together with their respective divisions. This session made the participants tired and sweaty, but also, happy. Followed by a lunch break for an hour to rest up, our meeting hall was filled by laughter and chit-chats from the participants. After filling up their starved bellies, they got to enjoy 8 different performances from the other division in BSSC, and performing one themselves. The diverse types skits they performed was definitely a welcome addition to this gathering. Ranging from K-dramas to insurance parodies, and telenovelas to musical dramas, participants enliven our meeting hall with roaring cheers and applause.
At noon, Gathering I ended with an ordinary, yet very special group photos, marking the end of 2017 and the beginning, the start of our journey through the 5 big events ahead. Personally, I sure hope that this 1st gathering will be a great memory for months, even years to come, not only for me, but for every single person in BSSC 8th Presidency.
