Feel the Euphoria!

On September 14th, 2017, freshmen had a spectacular evening because on that day, they were appointed as true BINUSIAN.  They came and celebrated their inauguration which had a new concept this year. This year, the inauguration involved student organizations from BINUS University to prepare booths where the freshmen could play games or enjoy the showcase that was presented by art/culture based organizations. That whole day was an amazing experience for both the freshmen and the event committee, especially us BSSC. We had a fantastic booth where BINUSIAN 2021 could try their luck and have some fun by playing some of our carnival-styled mini games. There were 5 games that we had prepared for them; Wheel of Fortune, POP!, U.F.O, Throw The Earth, and Snack Mania.

The freshmen seemed excited about the games, in Wheel of Fortune many tried their best to get the ultimate prize which was BSSC mug and cute, unique dolls. Next, there was POP!, in POP! the player had to pop balloons using skewers and there were 5 chances for them to do so. Inside every balloon was a paper that shows the prize that they get and the prizes had some variations (stickers, BSSC mug and doll, and glow sticks). The third game was U.F.O, in this game the players had to throw pre-made rings into bottles. The prizes were given according to how many rings they had thrown successfully entered the bottle. Next, Throw The Earth, in this game the players had to throw table tennis balls that were painted earth-like into some holes on the black board. The prizes were given according to how many balls enter the hole. Every game was exciting, but there were also surprises for them, like for example if they got zonk, they would get a “you tried” sticker on their forehead.

The euphoria was felt all over the place and everyone seemed very happy. Whilst it was the first time for BINUS to hold such an event, it could be said that this one was a massive success Hopefully, this experience could help to make bigger, better, and grander inauguration next year and BSSC would happily participate again.
