An End of The Beginning
The night has come, a night when everyone gathered together again and the night that signs the end of a presidency. Time flies so fast that no one realize that the night is coming. In that night, everyone dressed gracefully and well-groomed. Some of us even gave more effort for that night, to make sure they looked at their best. Everyone seems so happy that night.
But behind all of the party that was prepared by the committee, there was a surprise from we as members of BSSC towards di Executive Committee and Managers of BSSC. Let’s get on to from the morning of September 13th, the surprise team has woken up earlier to go to the flower market and prepping the plan. We bought roses with peach color that symbols loyalty, family, and friends. Then we went to buy the cake and everything else. The cake that we bought was given to the Hotel to be present later. We also wrote letters toward the Excom and Managers that contains our feelings towards them. Finally, the night came while we are waiting with unsettling thoughts.
It’s the middle of the party, a video about us has been played and we were getting ready, we have tracked the time and ready the plans. But before we executed it, many of us has bawled in tears because of the video that showed us our journey for this whole presidency. However, we still stick to the plan and waiting for the cue. Then the time has come, we brought in the cake and flowers and gave them one by one. They were touched and moved as tears pouring down their face. We hugged each other and in seconds, everyone in the room also felt the same thing. Nevertheless, it’s not the tears of sadness but the tears because we are so moved that we have already comfortable with each other and this is going to be the end. After that, BSSC Hymn was echoing throughout the ballroom as we sang and enjoy the night of our farewell.
Maybe some of us thought that a farewell is an end for everything, but you are wrong. A true end can only be decided by God, and if one day a farewell really did occur, pray to God that there will be another meeting that God has planned for us.
