BSSC Halloween Night: Say Hallow To Your Fear

BSSC Halloween Night: Say Hallow To Your Fear

BSSC Halloween Night: Say Hallow To Your Fear is an annual event based on the worldwide celebrated festival, Halloween, which had been held every 31st October. BSSC Halloween Night: Say Hallow To Your Fear was organized by Art Division of BSSC (BINUS Square Student Committee). This year, BSSC Halloween Night was held on November 2nd 2018 with a unique theme, “Say Hallow To Your Fear”. This event was held in BINUS Square Hall of Residence in 2 areas, Exhibition Area and Oak Room. In those 2 areas, BSSC Halloween Night: Say Hallow To Your Fear held activities such as escape room, games booth, and photo booth.

There was a thrilling horror-themed escape room inside Oak Room and a photo booth in front of Oak Room. In the escape room, there were several mini games which were made based on the story of a haunted house. Participants were playing the role of detectives with an objective to solve the mystery. The escape room was the most anticipated game of the whole event. Participants must queue and book their place on the waiting list to get a chance to play the escape room. The photo booth was also very crowded with people who want to capture the moment of Halloween in this event.

Besides the escape room in Oak Room, BSSC Halloween Night: Say Hallow To Your Fear also held 3 games booths and music performances in Exhibition Area. The games booths were “Feel Your Fear”, “Taste The Spell”, and “Human vs Zombie”. “Feel Your Fear” was a classic minigame of trying to guess what item was being touched. There was a mystery box with a small square hole on one side for the participant to put their hand in the box and a big hole on the other side for the committee to insert the mystery item into the box. The participant must guess the item correctly 3 times to win the game.

The next game booth, “Taste The Spell” was a minigame with a totally new and fresh concept. There were 5 cups of juice, each of them was filled with a different flavor. Participants would have to take a lottery that contains 2 numbers. The numbers taken would determine which juice flavors would be mixed. The committee would then mix the 2 flavors by taking approximately 3 spoons of juice from each flavor and mixing it into a separate cup. The participant would have to guess the flavors that were mixed before. If they manage to guess the flavors of the mixed juice, they would win. The last game booth was “Human vs Zombie”. “Human vs Zombie” was designed as a multiplayer game with a minimum of 2 players and a maximum of 4 players each game. The concept was a coin-flicking game with the aim to make the opponent’s coin fall off the table. The last man standing would be the winner. The visitors were very excited about the games booths, because there were many prizes offered for those who managed to win all the games. Other than the games booths, there were also singing and music performances to entertain visitors. And for one night, BINUS Square Hall of Residence was surrounded by Halloween’s spooky yet fun atmosphere.
