Using smartphones in a long time period can cause damage to eyes. This is also referred to as computer vision syndrome where our eyes will experience a loss due to an increase of difficulty to focus. The worst thing that might happen to us if we used smartphone excessively. Electromagnetic wave in our smartphone can destroy nerves in our brain, furthermore excessive use of smartphone emits radiation that can slowly cause headache.
Excessive use of smartphone may cause a lot of harmful impact to our health. There are some ways to reduce these bad impact such as using earphone while calling to reduce the radiation exposure, control the duration of smartphone usage to avoid CVS (computer vision syndrome) and get a plenty time of sleep.
In my opinion using smartphone is not a bad thing, on the other hand Excessive usage is bad. Use smartphone wisely and these harmful effects will not get to you.
