Event Review BSSC Squarelympic 2024 “Super Weekend Sport and E-sport Showdown”
BSSC Squarelympic is an annual event held by BINUS Square Student Committee (BSSC); this event includes e-sports and billiard competitions. This event is open for Boarders and also for Binusian. This year’s BSSC Squarelympic took place from 14th – 19th October 2024 at BINUS Square and Online. The theme “Super Weekend Sport and E-sport Showdown” means BSSC Squarelympic can be a place where the participants can channel their hobbies and also improve the relationship between BSSC and Boarders. This year’s tournament included competitions in Mobile Legends and Billiards in which eight teams participated in Mobile Legends and ten participants participated in the billiard competition. The tournament opened with preliminary and semi-final competition for Mobile Legends on 14th October 2024. After intense matches between teams, the two teams, Anomali and Kitagrand Master, qualified as finalists and would compete for the grand final which was held onsite at BINUS Square.
On 18th October 2024, the billiards competition was held onsite at BINUS Square with a total of nine participants competing onsite for the champion position. There are two sets of games before the preliminary round for four participants to be able to compete in the second preliminary round, after the preliminary round is finished the second preliminary round begins as eight participants compete to get into the semi final. The semi final featured four participants competing to get into the final round. The final round consists of two participants Muhammad Reihan Fadil and Albert Janssen Makmur competing against each other to get the champion title. After an exciting game, Muhammad Reihan Fadil comes out as the champion for Billiard competition.
On 19th October 2024, the final day of the BSSC Squarelympic 2024 began. The last two teams in the Mobile Legends competition would compete to get the champion title. Before the final round started, there was a fun match between Boarders to energize the atmosphere before the final match began. The fun match between Boarders had a few sets of rounds with many Boarders participating to join the fun of the event. After the fun match session ended, the final round of Mobile Legends for two teams, “Anomali” and “Kitagrand master” begins. After an intense competition, “Kitagrand master” managed to defeat the “Anomali” team and claim the champion title for BSSC Squarelympic 2024.
The ceremony continued with the awarding of prizes, presented by Mr. Aditia Perdana, S.Kom., a representative of SSO BINUS Square to the winners. With this, BSSC Squarelympic 2024 has officially ended.
