BSSC EXPO 2024 “UNLOCKING NEW FRONTIERS”

From August 25th to 26th, BINUS Square Student Committee (BSSC) successfully hosted the BSSC EXPO 2024, themed “Unlocking New Frontiers“. This event was designed to open up new opportunities and potential for boarders at BINUS Square, encouraging them to explore the diverse activities and fields available through BSSC. The overarching goal of the expo was to inspire and motivate boarders to develop themselves holistically, broaden their horizons, and build strong networks within the vibrant campus community.

The event was integrated with the mass check-in of new boarders at BINUS Square, creating a seamless experience which welcomed them into the campus and dorm life with excitement and purpose. After completing their check-in, boarders were directed to the BSSC WONDER booth, where they were introduced to one of BSSC’s signature events. This initial interaction piqued their curiosity and set the stage for what was to come in the expo.

As boarders entered the exhibition hall, they would do the registration process that ensured their active participation throughout the event. The expo was structured to introduce boarders to the core essence of BSSC in a captivating and informative manner, which are an overview of what BSSC stands for including its vision, mission, core values, and the major events, as well as a detailed information of each division, including Self-Development Division, Internal Affairs Division, and External Affairs Division. 

Throughout our presentations, boarders were guided through the various activities and divisions within BSSC, each showcased in dedicated booths. These booths offered detailed explanations and visual displays that highlighted the wide array of opportunities available within the organization. Each division presented its unique contributions, ranging from event planning and community service to leadership development. This hands-on exploration allowed boarders to gain a deeper understanding of how they could contribute to and benefit from being part of BSSC. In addition, chess games and word-guessing games were set up to maintain a lively atmosphere, where participants could win exclusive BSSC merchandise, such as pins and notebooks, for free!

Towards the end of the expo, a symbolic board was set up, inviting participants to express their impressions and messages about the event. Additionally, participants were encouraged to fill out a feedback form, providing valuable insights into their experience and suggestions for future events.

The expo also served as a platform for boarders to register for upcoming BSSC events, including BSSC WONDER, and to know our next month’s events, such as BSSC Seminar and BSSC Company Visit. Additionally, our expo featured stands selling everyday items for BINUS Square students, including lanyards, pins, notebooks, glass, string bag, tote bag, and many more! These stands were strategically placed to cater to the practical needs of students while also promoting BSSC-branded merchandise. After exploring the BSSC EXPO, participants were directed to the housing expo which includes Housing of Scientia, Housing of Clipa, and Housing of Ventura.

In summary, BSSC EXPO 2024 was a great success, generating strong interest among boarders in joining BSSC and setting the stage for future growth. The event not only showcased BSSC’s offerings but also created a welcoming environment which encourages active participation from all attendees.
