Event Review BSSC Gathering 2024 “Solidarity in Diversity

BSSC Gathering 2024, themed “Solidarity in Diversity,” is an internal event organized by the division managers and the Executive Committee of BSSC 14th Presidency. Held on Sunday, May 26, 2024, the primary aim of this gathering is to strengthen the bonds among BSSC members. Emphasizing the theme, “Solidarity in Diversity,” the event brings together members from diverse backgrounds to foster unity and cooperation. By building these connections, we aim to face challenges and celebrate successes together throughout the remainder of the presidency.

This year, we visited Agrowisata Gunung Mas in Puncak, accompanied by our advisors and a representative from BINUS Square Student Support Office (SSO), Ms. Cecilia Astri Piona Simbolon, S.Psi., M.I.Kom. The event began at 7:00 AM, with everyone gathering in BINUS Square lobby. Opening speeches were delivered by our chairman, Mr. Kent Alber Fredson, and SSO representative. By 7:45 AM, we started our journey from BINUS Square. The members were divided into six teams, each consisting of 4-5 members, as we waited for the bus to arrive.

Upon arriving at our destination, our project manager delivered her opening speech. Following this, each team was called up and assigned a color to represent their group. They were given 20 minutes to create a tagline and perform it, which successfully energized and excited everyone.

We then began the first game, “Chains of Madness.” In this game, team members had to hold hands and pass through a series of ropes arranged in a circle. The first team to reach the third rope was declared the winner. After the game, we enjoyed a meal while admiring the beautiful tea garden. Following our meal, we moved on to the next game, called “TTS Cak Lontong.” This game is a crossword puzzle with a twist, where the answers are bizarre yet humorous. The competitive spirit was high, and several participants demonstrated exceptional skill in this game.

Following the games, participants were granted free time and funds to explore and enjoy various attractions with their team members. Some opted for the thrill of bumper cars, while others ventured into the tea gardens, visited the rabbit house, snapped photos in the photo booth, and flew kites in the open field.

At 3.00 p.m., we gathered at our meeting spot and cleaned up before heading to our next destination, Cimory Riverside. There, we had time to explore, buy snacks and gifts, and engage in activities like go-karting or enjoying ice cream. At 4:40 p.m., we gathered again before concluding the outing with a documentation session to remember our time together. Back at BINUS Square, we reflected on the wonderful experience of bonding with fellow BSSC members, strengthening our connections.
