Event Review EXCOOR Training Program 2024 “Unveiling The Layers”
The management of BINUS Square Student Committee (BSSC) has transitioned from 13th Presidency to 14th Presidency. The recruitment process for new activists has also completed. As activists, they ought to carry out various events at BSSC in the future. In order to do so, they were trained in EXCOOR Training Program 2024 held by the management of BSSC.
EXCOOR Training Program 2024 were held from 18th to 19th and 25th to 26th of March 2024. It aimed to provide new activists everything they need to know before holding an event in a committee structure. The theme raised in the EXCOOR Training Program 2024 is “Unveiling the Layers” which invites activists to find out the ins and outs of all the layers that exist in a committee so that an event can run well. The activists were also provided with Personal Skills Training which discusses developing personal skills through a committee. Additionally, activists learnt through a sharing session which will discuss procedures for approaching vendors in preparing an event.
On the first day, March 18 2024, the training started with prayers and greetings by the MC, Nicholas Ariel Adinatha, activist of BSSC 13th Presidency. The activists then carried out a pre-test and played a back-to-back message game. After playing game, the event continued with an introduction to the speakers, Anastasia Putri Hartanti, Vice Chairman of Operation and Legal BSSC 14th Presidency, and Princess A.M. Bawekes, Vice Chairman of Finance and Event Management BSSC 14th Presidency. The training proceeded to the first material regarding Executive Committees and Project Manager by the first speaker, Anastasia Putri Hartanti, followed by a QnA session with the speaker. The training then continued to the second material, Secretary and Treasurer by Princess A.M. Bawekes, followed by QnA session too. Activists then were to conduct a post-test to ensure the success of knowledge transfer. To wrap up our first day of training, we had documentations and evaluations.
On the second day, March 19 2024, the training also started with prayers and greetings from the MC. The training resumed with a pre-test and speakers introduction. The speakers on the third day were Kent Alber Fredson, Chairman of BSSC 14th Presidency, Tirza Theophilia, Manager of Internal Affairs Division BSSC 14th Presidency, and Karen Christianty, Manager of External Affairs Division BSSC 14th Presidency. In the first speaker session, the material presented was Coordinator by Kent Alber Fredson, followed too by a QnA session. After that, the training proceeded to each division’s training where every activists were divided according to their committees in the event they participated. During this session, there were three materials presented, including Event & SPK Division Training by Kent Alber Fredson, Partnership & KR Division Training by Tirza Theophilia, and PubDoc & AnD Division Training by Karen Christianty. After all materials had been presented, the activists were given the opportunity to ask questions regarding materials to each speaker. The second day of training concluded with a post-test and documentation with all activists and the committees.
On the third day, March 25 2024, the training started too with prayers and greetings from the MC, followed by pre-test and game picture-guessing session. It was a game in which the activists had to guess the person displayed on the screen in front of them. The training subsequently continued to the introduction of the third day’s speaker, Kezia Santoso, Chairman of BSSC 13th Presidency. On that day, the material that was presented is Personal Skills, including leadership, communication, time management, and project management, followed by QnA with the speaker. The third day of the training ended by conducting a post-test and documentation with speakers, activists, and committees.
On the last day, March 26 2024, the training also had prayers and greetings from the MC. The training then proceeded to the introduction of the speaker, Ms. Cecilia Astri Putri Simbolon, Student Organization Advisor of BSSC 14th Presidency, with Vendor Approaching material. Ms. Cecilia also held sharing sessions with activists regarding her experience in partnerships. The training then continued by giving activists the opportunity to ask the speaker about the material presented. After that, a role call session was held, where in this session a simulation was held by giving activists the opportunity to try approaching the committees and invite cooperation acting as sponsors, vendors, and speakers. The fourth day of training was closed by completing the post-test and documentation of the activists, committees, and speakers.
In conclusion, EXCOOR Training Program 2024 “Unveiling the Layers” was an interesting experience and training for the activists, committee and speakers who attended this event. By conducting this Training Program, the management committees hoped that activists will understand more about the tasks they will carry out while at BSSC.
