BSSC EXCOOR TRAINING PROGRAM – BATCH 1

EXCOOR Training Program is a program held by Internal Affairs Division of BSSC 12th Presidency which assists and directs each staff of BSSC to know more about how to prepare and run an event in the future according to their respective job descriptions. EXCOOR Training Program itself is divided into 3 days which was held from 7 to 9 March 2022. Each day, the material was varied from one topic to other, such as EXCOM Technical Training, EXCOOR Technical Training, and Personal Skills Training. The purposes of this training program are to maximize performance and broaden the participants’ knowledge and to understand Event Committee’s responsibilities in running an event.

At the first day of EXCOOR Training Program, the topic discussed was EXCOM Technical Training. In this session, participants learned about the general description of things that must be considered by an EXCOM specifically according to the EXCOM position which include Project Manager, Vice Project Manager, Secretary, and Treasurer. The first day’s trainer was Janice Olivia Limawan, Chairman of BSSC 12th Presidency who explained the job descriptions of a Project Manager and Vice Project Manager. Then Rachel Esmeralda Yoswandi, Vice Chairman of Operations, who explained the job description of a Secretary. Lastly, Karen Wilbert, Vice Chairman of Event Management and Marketing, who explained the job description of a Treasurer.

 

At the second day of EXCOOR Training Program, the topic discussed was EXCOOR Technical Training. In this session, participants learned an overview of the things that must be considered by an EXCOOR, related to things that have to be prepared before the event, during the event, and after the event. The middle of the session, the trainers were divided into four breakout rooms to explain specifically about the responsibilities and job descriptions of each division that consist of Event division, Publication and Documentation division, Consumption and Registration division, and Partnership division. Each breakout room were trained by a different trainer, where Event Division room was lead by the Chairman of BSSC 12th Presidency, Janice Olivia Limawan, Publication and Documentation division was lead by Vice Chairman of Event Management and Marketing, Karen Wilbert, Consumption and Registration division was lead by Vice Chairman of Finance, Celine Kwok, and Partnership division was lead by Vice Chairman of Legal and Human Resources, Christy Aurelia L.

 

At the third day of EXCOOR Training Program, the topic discussed was Personal Skills Training. In this session, participants learned about things that need to be known in order to develop the personal skills needed during the making of an event such as leadership, communication, time management, and introduction to project management. The session was presented by a Trainer who is the Chairman of BSSC 12th Presidency, Janice Olivia Limawan. After the participants underwent this training program for 3 days, the EXCOOR Training Program closed with the submission of Insight Enrichment so that the event committee could collect information about the events that had been carried out, namely from the previous EXCOOR Training Program.
