In ancient times, the use of batik was quite limited and the way of making batik was still traditional. Batik is made using special tools made of metal called “canting”, which is a basic tool such as a pencil used in the process of drawing batik patterns. Most of the batik in ancient times was made as clothing worn by certain people such as the royal family. The uniqueness of this batik pattern supports this outfit so that it feels exclusive and luxurious in its time.

As time goes by, today’s batik is very different from batik in the past. This age, batik can be used by anyone. The variety of batik is increasing in number from coloring, patterns, decorations, types of materials, and so on.
