MC TRAINING PROGRAM BATCH 2
MC training Program is an event that was held by the HRD Division 11th presidency in order to prepare the participants for the event that they will be hosting. The second batch of this training program was held on 21-22 of June 2021. The trainer of this batch was Gilbert Lorentius, the Chairman of BSSC 11th Presidency.
On the first day of this training program, the participants were given materials regarding being an MC by the trainer. The material includes the definition and responsibilities of an MC, the communication theories, things that participants should and should not do when hosting their event, and how to create a structured closing segment. After that, the participants would get a chance to practice a short simulation with the trainer based on a rundown provided. They will then receive short feedback from the trainer regarding their performance as the MC. In the simulation session, the participants also received a few challenges from the committees. Each participant will receive a different challenge that they have to overcome by themselves. Before closing the first day, the participants were asked to prepare the MC rundown of their event for the next day.
On the second day, the participants will perform a simulation of their event. The simulation will be done based on the MC rundown that they had prepared before the training. They then receive feedback from the trainer based on their MC performance. By the end of the training, the participants have learned many essential skills that they need to know as MC. They also got the chance to demonstrate the things they have learned from the day 1 of the training.
