Seminar BSSC “Lead Yourself, Lead the World”
“Lead Yourself, Lead the World” is a seminar held by HRD Division of BSSC 9th Presidency. The seminar was held on Saturday, December 1st 2018 located in Oakroom, BINUS Square Hall of Residence. The main cause why we held this seminar is that there was a process of transition from 8th Presidency to 9th Presidency in BSSC. Through this process, new and senior members needed something to step on as they walk to this new Presidency. In this case, before they start the new Presidency, they needed self-leadership skills. Our main goal is to develop participant’s soft skills in leadership and teamwork as a part of an organization.
This seminar invited BSSC 2nd Presidency’s Chairman, Oeinarto as the speaker. Currently, he is working as Business Development Manager in PT. Kioson Komersial Indonesia Tbk.. Oeinarto could deliver his experiences and thoughts well to the participants because he already had so many experiences in organization as well as in work. In order to make all the participants know each other better, Oeinarto started the seminar with an ice breaking game. In the beginning of the seminar, Oeinarto talked about his experiences as Chairman of BSSC 2nd Presidency and also his working experiences. Then, he explained about self-leadership itself, its types, and how to applicate it in real life organization.
The seminar used talkshow concept, so it flowed with the participants. There were many interactions between the speaker and the participants. Many questions were asked in the Q&A session. One of the questions from the participants was about self-confidence, the speaker answered that self-confidence means believing that we have the capability to do things and then proving it. This seminar was ended with photo and tagline session.
