1. Raw oysters are still alive when you eat them
Oysters get stale so fast that chefs have to serve them quickly while they’re still alive. In general, it can survive out of the water for up to two weeks. Once it dies, its not safe to eat anymore. So if you have eaten oysters before, its probably still alive. But it’s okay, because oysters don’t have central nervous system, which means that they can’t feel pain.
2. Honey will never expire
In its natural state, honey is very low in moisture and very acidic. Those two characteristics makes even hundreds of years old honey still edible. Archaeologists have found pots of honey from thousands of years ago and it’s still fresh.
3. People once thought tomatoes were poisonous
Tomato was nicknamed “the poison apple” in 18th century Europe because aristocrats often get sick and die after eating them. Little that they know, what made them sick and die is because of their choice of tableware, not the tomatoes. High acidity of tomatoes leads to melt from the pewter plates that used by aristocrats and make their food poisoning.

If you split the grape in almost half, and put in the microwave, it’ll create an explosive fireball of plasma and lighting. Microwave work by using microwave radiation to generate the heat and if you don’t heat up anything or in this case, you heat very small grapes that doesn’t need to use much power, the electromagnetic waves have nothing to do and they become concentrated. The grapes are more like an antenna and conducts the electricity in microwave.
