Korean Intermediate Language Class
Many boarders of BINUS Square have voiced their interest in learning culture or language from the exchange students. On March until June, BSSC Culture Division held Korean Intermediate Language Class. The class was held to aid boarders who had interest in learning Korean language and culture, and to help the boarders of BINUS Square to know each other better.
The class teachers are several exchanges student from South Korea, consisted of Hyunsoo Kim, Daeun Park, Jeongju Mun, and Junguk Bang. We held the class every monday, from March 19th to June 5th, 2018. In the class, they teach students about their language and culture.
In the first meeting, the student learned how to greet and introduce their name in Korean. The teachers gave the students their made-up name in Korean and then gave them a name tag so the students can write their Korean name and use it during Korean class. In the second meeting, the lesson is about Korean food and how to order food in Korea. The teachers asked the students to practice speaking in Korean. Besides practice, the teachers also ask about what kind of food the students like and the class exchange info about Korean and Indonesia food. In the third meeting, the students learn about some Korean uncommon culture and traditional games. With the teachers, the class played some Korean games. After the games session, some of the students said that the game was very interesting and hope to play it again outside the class. In the fourth meeting, the class review some of the past lessons and sing a Korean song with the teachers.
In the fifth meeting, the class talks about Korean drama and practice in speaking Korean with some dialogues from a Korean drama. In the sixth meeting, the teachers introduce several South Korea tourism attractions like Jeju Island, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Nami Island, and many more. In this session, the teachers share their experience when visiting some of the famous tourist spots in South Korea. They also share tips and trick on visiting South Korea. In the seventh and last meeting, the class went to Chung Gi Wa restaurant to have dinner.
After the dinner, the class took a photo and with that concludes the Korean Intermediate Language Class.
