SHINE – Learning English!

The 3rd week of SHINE was held on March 11th, 2018. We held an activity of learning English with a fun system, which is learning and playing. There are 3 types of game concepts. The first game was “Find the differences”, through this concept the children were taught to look for 4 differences between 2 images. Once they have found the difference, they will be taught the English word of the differences that they have successfully found. The purpose of this game is to teach children to concentrate, to be more detailed, and give them insight into their English vocabulary.

The second game was “Words Arranging”. Through this game, the children were shown a picture and pieces of words that were not in the right order. Then, the children were directed to sort the letters to form a word in English that defines the image. The purpose of this game is to add children’s insights into their English vocabulary and to hone their practical thinking.

The third game was “Put on The Right Place”. Through this game, the children were shown 2 small boxes labeled “fruit” and “animal”. Then the children were given a picture of fruits and animals, afterwards the children were directed to select the right box based on the given picture. Before the children insert the picture into the box, the children will be taught the English words of the picture.

Through the mini games, we hope that the children could learn English in a fun way. So that they can understand it well and practice it in their daily life.
