Photography Workshop – Light Painting

Besides trying to save the Earth, BSSC Earth Hour 2018 also held workshops to attract Binusian and the general public, one of those workshops are a photography workshop that revolves around light painting. Light painting is a photographic technique in which bright images are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. This workshop was held on the 22nd and 23rd March 2018 at 19.00 – 21.00 in BS 302. There were 3 trainers that were present. They explained about the methods and the photography techniques that are needed to be done in order to get pictures of light painting. The trainers demonstrated a lot of tricks and showed taken photos, they even shot a couple of fantastic one themselves while at that workshop. The participants were so enthusiastic on learning this, because of the endless possibilities of this technique.
