REVEALING ONE’S FORTUNE
BSSC Culture Share, which was held on December 8th, 2017 in BINUS Square, is the only annual event managed by BSSC OSR Culture Division. There were so many things that participants could enjoy from this event. One of the main attraction this event had was fortune telling, where participants’ fortune could be foreseen. The fortune telling booth was located at Oak Room. This is the first time this kind of attraction existed in BSSC’s event.
The booth’s queue was always full of participants from the moment it opened until closing time. There are two types of fortune telling in our event, one is delivered using tarot cards, and the other is with playing cards. The tarot card user explained the past, described the present condition, and revealed the future of the current participant, while the playing card user elucidate the participant’s love journey in the future. Also, the fortune tellers were boarders who have the necessary special skill in reading people using cards. The fortune telling fee is Rp5.000,- per entry. The time given for one entry is also limited to 4 minutes at maximum. The time is enough for them to get the full prediction, whether it’s their past present future or their love condition. After they finished the fortune telling session, the person went out from Oak Room with excitement and is greeted with curiosity of other participants.
All things considered, the fortune telling is one of the most successful part of the event. The atmosphere around Oak Room was always bright and full of happiness and excitement from the participants. The target participants was reached, even double the initial prediction. This was possible due to the Committee’s hard work and effort, I hope that next year’s Culture Share could be bigger and better than this one.
