Knowing and understanding priorities could be the key factors in maintaining productivity. People need to start finding this matter essential, so they won’t do useless tasks. In general, they don’t necessarily need to write the list of priorities, however, they need to have it. List of priorities can help us determine which tasks are imperative.
Imperative tasks are the ones that should be at the top of the priority list, while the less important and less urgent tasks shouldn’t even appear on the list. That being said, people still find useless tasks as their top priority (e.g. playing games, shopping, or just chatting).
LIST ALL THE POSSIBLE THINGS TO DO
For starters, we need to note all the tasks that should be completed within the allotted time. They may include daily chores, school assignments, organization works, and the lesser matter; such as, chatting and playing with our gadgets. Noting down all of them helps to determine the importance of each task.
CREATE THE ORDER
Afterward, one should sort the order of importance. One must select and categorize which thing has significant influences in our life and which doesn’t. Hopefully, then we will realize what we consider important is in fact giving a decent impact on our life. Then, create the order of the task from the utmost importance to the lesser ones.

SET UP A TIMELINE OF FUTURE EVENTS
For each task on the priority list, people need to have a deadline. Giving ourselves deadline make us feel responsible and keep the task from expanding even more. It will help to minimize procrastination when we do tasks. Furthermore, we need to decide the time frame of which one task should be finished in. The time frame must be measured according to our competencies.
One’s priority will always differ from the others, hence all we need to do is stop stalling.
