Diversity in Nation

Language Class is a class that held annually by BSSC OSR Culture Division, as a medium to help BINUS Square’s boarders to learn languages they wanted. Nowadays, French language is being used in some activities regarded to Hotel Management major in BINUS, either for the subjects or cuisines themselves. Other than that, this language is surely “good to learn” language. This year, French Class was held again because some boarders were eager to learn more about their culture and language. The teacher herself was French exchange student, Durand Elénore Marie Victoire and her assistant, Sita Lasingih, so that all participants may find it easier to ask directly about French.

Elénore is from Lille (ISTC Ecole de Communication) and majoring in Marketing, while Sita is from Netherland (HAN University of Applied Sciences) and majoring in International Business. This class had held 7 meetings. In the 6 meetings, basically this class taught how to say some words or sentences that are used in both formal and informal occasions, slang words and practice how to speak fluently in the class. Last meeting was out class and that time they decided to go to Marco Seafood Restaurant. It was a pleasure that all participants and mentors enjoyed all the dishes with all joy around them. The mentors also said that they will return the next day and collected some seashell as souvenirs.

Even though some people were not able to enjoy this last meeting, we still enjoy every little moment back there. All sad and happy mixed up as we realized that it was the last meeting for us. The mentors thanked all participants for all enthusiasms and moderation in enrolling this class. The participants also thanked the mentors because they had taught and guided them very well.
