BSSC Gathering I: Puzzle Hunt

BSSC Gathering I is an annual event that enhance the solidarity and the loyalty of BSSC members especially for members in the same division. This year BSSC Gathering is using the theme of “Puzzle Hunt”. The theme originated from the concept of BSSC Logo itself which is a puzzle. The puzzle represents all members of BSSC (which is not small in numbers) that support each other as one entity with one-shared vision. The meaning of “Puzzle Hunt” itself is for members to discover their “Puzzle” or we can say their part in BSSC.

We have just held BSSC Gathering I 2017 in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah on 28th March 2017. The event consists of Post Games, performances and Final Games. In Post Games, BSSC members were divided into 9 groups based on their division. Then they will be given clues towards each post available in the venues of TMII. The groups will compete while securing clues by winning the games on each post to find the last post which is in Anjungan Nusa Tenggara Barat as the main venue of the gathering. The last 2 groups that reached the last venue will get punishment. After taking lunch break, each division were doing some performances that they have prepared weeks before. The winner of Post Games is Magazine Division and the best performances is granted to Art Division. Proceeding to the Final Games, each group opened up an envelope that had been given from the beginning of the Post Games that contained pieces of puzzles. They were asked to complete the puzzle that hold the answer of the question “What is the most important thing in an organization?” under 15 minutes. It seems easy at first and the puzzle shows the answer of writings of values in an organization such as: leadership, independent, sense of belonging, etc. However, the executive committee of BSSC then told them that the answer is not what written on the puzzle. The answer lies within the back of the puzzle which showed the word “You”. Then the Chairman gave direct explanation of the situation in the organization and the meaning of the games itself. As well as the importance of the contribution of each member in BSSC and the vision of BSSC for the upcoming years.

The speech was delivered without any problem and we hope that the insights that were given will help all of the participants to realize the importance of an organization and the values/benefits that they will get if they are serious with their role as a part of an organization. The gathering was over with a photo session and presenting the award for each winning division. There was a heavy rainfall at the end of the day and drenched all of the participants, however the show still goes on and the participants are giving great feedback till the end of the gathering. We are really thankful for those who have participated in the gathering and we hope that BSSC will get even better and better until we are the best in the future. BSSC! Together, Yes We Can!!
