The 2024 BNEC Alam Sutera Social Event: Digital Safety in Digital Era

The Social Event committees and volunteers

This year, BINUS English Club (BNEC) Alam Sutera is excited to present its annual social event, focusing on a highly relevant and contemporary issue: Digital Safety. The event theme Digital Safety in Digital Era: Educating and Empowering Ourselves to Navigate the Internet Safely, consists of a seminar and a four-day workshop aimed at junior high school students in Tangerang, Indonesia.

As the world becomes increasingly digital, the risk of cyber threats continues to grow. This event, aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), aims to bridge the gap between digital literacy and practical knowledge, offering guidance on how to stay safe online.

While tech-related social events are rare, the importance of educating the public on internet safety is undeniable, even for those with limited access to the internet. By shedding light on these issues, we hope to empower individuals to protect themselves and their data in today’s increasingly interconnected world.
