LET’S FIND OUT SOME MAJORS THAT USE ENGLISH

Internationally spoken and used, English is used all over the world. When a person wants to communicate with someone who is not from their own country, they use English. Many people can benefit from English’s usefulness by being able to speak with one another and understand what others are saying. Therefore, in many countries, English is also taught in formal schools and colleges. Consequently, the following are the university majors that utilize English as their primary and/or required component.

English Language Education

This department is closely related to English. All students are exposed to English and its course material here. This major imparts knowledge on the English-language teaching curriculum. The fundamentals of English, including reading, listening, writing, and speaking, will also be covered with the pupils. Students who choose this major frequently aim to become English instructors.

English Literature

The English Literature major and the English Education major are significantly different from one another, contrary to popular belief. Students who study English literature will learn about the fundamental sciences of English as well as classic and contemporary works that are relevant to England and America. Then, students of English Literature also study culture, language translation, and other fields of English-related science.

International Relations 

The primary knowledge studied by the Department of International Relations is not English. This course examines international politics and how one nation interacts with another. However, the English language is used extensively in this field. English is the primary component in this subject since it educates students to be able to build diplomatic contacts with many different countries across the world.

Tourism

The tourism major undoubtedly concentrates on training students to become tour guides. Students who want to work as tour guides abroad must, of course, be able to speak and write in English so that they can work with tourists from all over the world.

Communication Studies

Actually, communication studies major places a high priority on effective interpersonal communication, such as speaking to customers, marketing, and the general public. If there are foreigners, they must be able to speak English in order to communicate with a large number of people. English thus becomes an important part in this department.
