FIVE WAYS TO BOOST YOUR CONFIDENCE AND BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

Sometimes, we are not confident with ourselves when we want to do something. So, we decide not to do it for fear of being wrong, embarrassed, and afraid of getting bad comments from people around us. Therefore, here are five ways you can follow so that you can be more confident, especially in your career.

First, think about many things that you have accomplished in the past. Use it to motivate you to be more confident in doing your job. For example, think about when you once won a competition or when you have reached a high position in a company where you worked before. If in the past you were able to pass the challenges and complete them, then now you are able to do so.

Second, don’t let fear get in the way of your work. Fear of doing or trying something will make you mistrust yourself. You have to face your fear, for example by calming yourself down, changing your mindset, and distracting your mind with positive things. Don’t run away, instead do things that make you afraid. Don’t be afraid before trying, dare to take the first step, because you don’t know what success awaits you in the future.

Third, have a positive attitude. Positive attitudes that you can apply are being optimistic, confident, humble, having a sense of responsibility, strong determination, and so on. By having this attitude, you will always see things in a positive light. Be grateful for what is in you and for what you have accomplished. Keep on working hard. If you are not able to have a positive attitude, you can improve it by surrounding yourself with positive people, creating a routine for the day, taking a deep breath, having your personal goals, and stop complaining.

Fourth, get to know yourself. Understand that everyone is different in dealing with various situations. For example, in your job, where you have to meet many people, maybe you feel that you are not capable of leading a meeting that is full of people, but you are able to lead small groups in your work. Everyone is unique, and that uniqueness is your strength.

Fifth, stop labeling yourself. When you label yourself with negative things, such as shyness and inadequacy, you are indirectly telling your mind to act like that. Therefore, you must assert to yourself that you are confident and capable of doing your job well. You have to give encouragement to yourself.
