The 2024 BNEC Bekasi Seminar “Technology Literacy: Digital Business”

On December 13, 2024, BNEC Bekasi successfully held a seminar, which also served as the closing event for 2024. The seminar, themed “Technology Literacy: Digital Business,” was attended by approximately 50 participants, including students from BINUS University and external (public) participants. The seminar was carried out with great enthusiasm from both the audience and the organizing committee, who diligently fulfilled their respective roles to ensure the event’s success until the very end.

This year, the BNEC Bekasi Seminar was conducted in collaboration with an external partner, Nusatalent, an organization focused on student career preparation and development. Emmanuella Reika, or Kak Reikaalso evident from the insightful presentation delivered by the seminar speaker, Emmanuella Reika, S.I.Kom. She effectively discussed the importance of embracing technology to prepare for the workforce in this digital era. The material presented by Ms. Emmanuella Reika, or Kak Reika, was highly relevant, as technological advancements show no limits in their progression alongside human development and the changing times.

Kak Reika also successfully emphasized important aspects such as experience, self-developed skills, and personal branding as key factors in preparing to meet the expectations of companies operating in this digital era. The utilization of social media as a crucial skill that every individual must possess in the digital age was also highlighted as a vital point in building the personal branding one wishes to establish.

As a form of appreciation to our partner for their collaboration in this seminar, BNEC Bekasi presented an acrylic plaque as a gesture of gratitude for their efforts in providing career preparation insights to BINUS University students as well as those from outside the campus. The event also featured a door prize drawing for the audience who actively participated throughout the seminar until the final session, as a way to acknowledge and reward their engagement.

In conclusion, we hope this seminar has truly provided new insights and opened the eyes of BINUS University students, especially those planning to undertake internships during the enrichment program. The enthusiasm surrounding the BNEC Bekasi Seminar is expected to be consistently maintained in all aspects to ensure continued success in its implementation.
