BNEC PROFESSIONAL CLASS 2020 : STEP UP TO SUCCESS

On the 26th of September, Audrey Eunike, an HR Recruiter of PT. Vivo Mobile Indonesia has become the speaker of BNEC Professional Class of 2020. This year’s theme is “Step Up to Success”. The topic carried is Body Language in Presentation and Job Interview.

Body language is a crucial form of communication. It covers gestures, eye contact, even the way you shake hands. Various messages can be conveyed with our bodies. It also affects the interpretation of others. Likewise, body language describes our personality. Miss Audrey also gave a lot of tips in the seminar. She stated that the vital aspect of body language is eyes, mouth, shoulders, arms & hands, and legs & feet. There are several ways to maximize our presentation through body language. We have to keep in mind our posture, eye contact, arm position, and body position. For arm position, keeping our hand open is recommended. Do not lean to any object, including ourselves when presenting in front of the audiences. Comparably, body language in the interview ascertains the result. First and foremost, we must relax in an interview. Make sure that we do not tap our nails if we do not want the audience or the interviewer to find us uncomfortable. Do not cross our arm because it means arrogance, sit straight, and engage with the interviewer by nodding.

In the seminar, the workshop was held. The participants were asked to do roleplay. In a group, the interviewers and interviewees were picked. The situation was described as if in a real interview section. All the participants were excited about this. In the end, a group was picked by the committee as The Most Active Group. Overall, Professional Class 2020 was a huge success. The total participants in the seminar and workshop were more than 200 participants. Miss Audrey as the speaker, and also the participants gave positive feedback for this event.
