Outing Program 2018 “Our Times Our Youth”

Once per year, BNEC conducts an event named Outing Program as a stress reliever and the place for all BNEC entities to bond and know each other through fun activities. Two years ago, we visited Puncak, last year we visited Pulau Tidung, and this year we decided to visit Sentul, staying at Rosomulyo Villa & Camp Sentul. This year we really want to create fun memories while we still have the time for it as a young generation. This produces this year event’s theme, “Our Times Our Youth”.

It was held from May 19 – 20, 2018, after the Mid Exam as the way for BINUSIAN to regain their spirit back. Outing Program is not only for the BoM to join (like many other event), but also the members, AEO’s Liaison Officer, and even alumni.

Day 1
Gathered at Anggrek Admission early in the morning, all the participants went to the spot using buses. Arrived on around 9 AM, everyone freely mingled around the villa while waiting for the committee to start the first session. The first day activity began with playing couple games on the grass, and they are very exciting.

During the noon, when we are supposed to visit Curug Bidadari, the rain fell. The unexpected rain won’t stop until night, but fortunately the committee had prepared another plan and played until night.

Before going to sleep in the camping ground, we did one last memorable activity, put wishes in sky lanterns and fly them out to the sky. With the burned marshmallow we ate while writing our wish, it truly brought the camping vibes.

Day 2
BOOM! The sun finally shone brightly in the second day! The day started with small games to stretch muscles, and the most anticipated activity came after, the paint ball.

4 teams competed in a friendly match fiercely against each other. In the arena, the leaders led their team with amazing strategy, a star shooter eliminated many enemy forces (it truly happened like the hero in movies), and many other interesting actions to watch.

The paint ball ended the story of 2 days in Rosomulyo, and all of us went back to Curug Bidadari before going home. We arrived there on around 2 pm and played around until 6 pm. The memories, all the laugh and solidarity in the waterfall pond when we tried to get near the waterfall undoubtedly indescribable.

After the closing picture taken with all of us wearing the Outing Program shirt, all of us went to the bus and finally left for home. The most precious picture can be deleted, but the memories from these 2 days will stay forever in our heart.
