BINUS Debate Teams Take on Ganesha Open 2025
The Ganesha Open Debate Competition 2025 is a debate competition that welcomes not only high school and university students, but also University alumni. The stage was set on March 15 – 16, 2025 at Institut Teknologi Bandung Ganesha campus. It’s not every day that we get to witness talents of various ages competing with one another. Following their accomplishments in ProAms 2025, BINUS University’s courageous debaters continue to gain momentum as they embark on another fierce battle against talented individuals in search of glory.
Following their strong showing at ProAms 2025, BINUS University’s debate teams continued their momentum, stepping onto the grand stage to challenge some of the toughest opponents in the scene. Representing BINUS were two formidable teams: BINUS – Lanang Sunib (Lalu Gede Danny Wiranata & Aiden Hioe) and BINUS – BINUS A (Beyounce Lorraine A. Guingab & Joseline Fransiska Wijaya). Additionally, BINUS University was well-represented in the adjudication panel by Regina Stephanie Wuisana, Jennifer Marcellyn Cen, and Rachel Chen as independent judges.
The competition was intense, but the BINUS teams delivered commendable performances. Notably, Rachel Chen was recognized as the Best Independent Adjudicator, a testament to her sharp analytical skills and judging expertise. On the debate front, Danny Wiranata, Beyounce Lorraine, and Joseline Fransiska secured Co-5th Novice Speaker awards, highlighting their impressive debating prowess among a highly competitive field.
With yet another strong showing, BINUS University continues to solidify its reputation in the debate circuit. The success at Ganesha Open 2025 is a reflection of the dedication, strategy, and competitive spirit that define BINUS debaters. As they move forward, their journey promises even greater challenges and triumphs on the road ahead.
