HOW TO BE A GOOD LEADER

Being a leader is not an easy thing, being a leader has a big responsibility. Not just a responsibility to yourself but a responsibility to the team members as well. As a good leader, you must also be able to bring your team to success. However, as in the beginning, being a leader is not an easy thing. Then, here are some tips to be a good leader. 

• Calm and Positive Attitude

Having a calm and positive attitude is very important. Having this attitude will bring your team to work and solve problems calmly. A leader must also be able to have a positive impact on his team members. This is because, if a leader has a positive attitude, team members will feel positive as well and will be more enthusiastic to work in a team.

• Open Communication 

Having an open conversation with the team is great. So far, there are still many leaders who have not been able to communicate openly with their team. By having open communication, the leader’s relationship with team members will be better and can talk heart to heart to them. And lastly, it certainly fosters member trust in a leader because the leader can talk openly to team members.

• Teach Not Rule 

“Be a leader not a boss” are words that most relate to the relationship between the leader and team members. Being a leader is not just commanding his team members but guiding and bringing his team members to a better path. Then, guiding team members must also use the heart and not get tired of teaching them good things to lead them to success.

• Provide Views On Goals and Expectations

Providing insight into the goals and expectations of the activities that you do with the team is very important. By providing these two views, a leader can share opinions or share perceptions with team members. If the team leader and team members can share their respective opinions, the team can have the same perception and encourage the team to work harder and produce something good.

• Give and Ask For Feedback 

Provide and receive feedback from team members. Giving positive feedback on the work of team members is very important, this will make team members feel valued and feel appreciated. In addition, it is not only the leader who provides feedback, but the leader must also be able to receive feedback from team members.

Therefore, if you want to be a good leader, you can follow the tips above. Don’t forget to be a good leader for your team members!
