WEBINAR & TALK SHOW: THE 2022 ASIAN ENGLISH OLYMPICS

Talk Show and Webinar activities are parts of the series of events in The 2022 Asian English Olympics event held by BINUS English Club (BNEC). The purpose of this Talk Show and Webinar is to help BINUSIAN and Non-BINUSIAN to improve their knowledge and soft skills as a preparation for their career. Six fundraising activities were held virtually through Zoom Meeting to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Talk Show “Entering Career: Prepare Your Ammunition”

The first event was held on December 17, 2021 with the theme of the Talk Show “Entering Career: Prepare Your Ammunition”. This event invited the HR of PT Wings Group, namely Catherina Setiawati, as the speaker and the event was attended by 45 BINUSIAN and Non-BINUSIAN. Hopefully through this event, all participants are able to find out about the strategies in choosing the right career path and how to prepare for their future career.

Webinar “Growth Mindset: New Beginning, New You!”

The second event was held on December 22, 2021 with the theme of the Webinar “Growth Mindset: New Beginning, New You!”. This event invited Student Counselors at Brain Academy by Ruang Guru, Izqadinda Nurhaliza, as a speaker, with 37 BINUSIAN and Non-BINUSIAN attending the Webinar. Through this event, it is hoped that the participants would be able to learn many things about the growth mindset and how important it is for their education journey towards their career path. The participants learned about how to build a growth mindset and what are the benefits of having a growth mindset.

Webinar “How to Control Your Time Wisely”

The third event was held on January 7, 2022 with the theme of the Webinar “How to Control Your Time Wisely”. The speaker of this event was the Co-Founder of PT Satu Persen Edukasi, namely Fitratullah Harun, and the event was attended by 78 BINUSIAN and Non-BINUSIAN. Through this event, the participants are expected to be able to understand how to manage time for students and how important it is to their lives.

Talk Show “Healing Talk: You’re Not Alone”

The fourth event was held on January 14, 2022 with the theme of the Talk Show “Healing Talk: You’re Not Alone”. This event was attended by 96 BINUSIAN and Non-BINUSIAN with an experienced psychologist, Octavia Putri. After participating in this event, participants are expected to be able to know how to deal with stress in the middle of all limitations in online learning activities that are draining students’ energies physically and mentally.

Talk Show “Building A Business: From Scratch to Hatch”

The fifth event was held on January 21, 2022 with the theme of the Talk Show “Building A Business: From Scratch to Hatch”. This event invited Mr. Antonius Arif from PT Korpora Trainindo as a speaker, and the event was attended by 72 BINUSIAN and Non-BINUSIAN. Hopefully, the participants will know what to prepare when they want to start a business. Starting from looking for business ideas, building a business, to maintaining a business. In addition, participants also learned how to market their business properly and correctly to the public or the target market.

Talk Show “Grow Your Money: New Ways of Saving”

Finally, the sixth event was held on January 29, 2022 with the theme of the Talk Show “Grow Your Money: New Ways of Saving”. The speaker of this event was an Investment Coach and Treasurer at Bank Jago, namely Mr. Yoyo Cahyadi, and the Talk Show was attended by 80 BINUSIAN and Non-BINUSIAN. The committee hopes that through this event, participants are able to find out what investments can be used for each need, along with the level of risk that each type of investment has, and also know about the differences between traders and investors.
