BNEC 29TH PRESIDENCY DELIBERATION

This year, on October 17, 2021, BNEC held their 29th Presidency Deliberation. So, what is Deliberation Day? Deliberation Day is a form of chairman election event organized by BNEC’s election team, where all BNEC Board of Management members will be voting for the next BNEC president. The objective of this event is to elect the Chairman of BINUS English Club (BNEC) and  the Chairman of the Binus English Club (BNEC) Kemanggisan Region for the 2022-2023 period. Due to the pandemic, all 43 attending BoM from all regions gathered through  Zoom Meeting to participate in the event.

Slightly unique compared to the common election, the process of deliberation and election of BNEC aren’t only done once, but several times until the votes of all BoM are unanimous on one of the candidates for chairman. To be able to do so, every time the vote hasn’t reached one unanimous vote, some of the attending BoM will share their experiences or opinion regarding the candidates. By doing so, other BoM will get a better picture of the candidates that helps them make a decision on who they should cast their vote for. This is intended to truly have one understanding and reach a mutual agreement in the selection of candidates for chairman between all of the present Board of Management.
