THE 2021 BNEC SOCIAL EVENT

BNEC has various annual events held every year. One of them is the BNEC Social Event. This year, the BNEC Social Event brought the theme “Bowls of Hope”. The word “bowl” refers to the fulfillment of food for Indonesia, combined with the word “hope” which represents our hope that people in Indonesia can easily get access to nutritious food every day. As we know, the food hunger rate in Indonesia is quite high, especially in this era of pandemic where the food supply chain is disrupted. With this theme, the event will focus on meeting food needs in Indonesia, in line with our efforts in achieving zero hunger in Indonesia.

With this event, we want to raise awareness of the urgency of reducing waste and food loss by explaining all the impacts they have on young people. In addition, it also encourages teenagers to reduce food waste, adopt the habit of always taking or buying enough food, and sharing food with others. The target of this event is teenagers, because they are still in the learning stage and searching for their own identity, values, ideas, and self-confidence. In addition, teenagers are also considered as agents of change. By directing this to teenagers, it will be easier to shape, nurture and educate them to grow into adults who value and appreciate the food on their plate.

We also provided various series of events from BNEC Social Events, such as Online Campaign, Online Competition, 2 Talkshow Series, 4 Webinars Series, 1 Workshop, Comparative Study, and Online Challenge. To treat your curiosity, we also provide a brief explanation of each series of events.
