On August 9th, 2022, at 10.00 a.m. straight, Trump’s luxury house in Palm Beach, Florida, claimed to be raided by the Federal Bureau Investigation (FBI). Trump then stated that this is actually a form of activity that threatens the nation’s democracy by interfering with one’s privacy as the National Security Organization directly occupies his house. It was said that the FBI claimed Trump has been keeping many confidential files, the government’s private texts, or even correspondences from Former President Barack Obama. From this sudden investigation, several boxes had been taken away from the investigation.

Following a similar case back in February, the United States National Archive found 15 boxes full of these classified documents inside the luxury house. The documents are supposed to be legally handed to the government by the end of his presidency. This result of earlier investigation is assumed to be the motives of this sudden “raid”.

In response to this, groups of Trump’s Supporters are gathered outside Mar-a-Lago and the Trump Tower in New York, waving flags and expressing their anger. Numbers of Republicans in Congress, including Kevin McCarthy as the Representatives Republican minority Leader claimed that the unannounced raid was a form of “intolerable state of weaponized politicization.”

Who’s Accountable for The Sudden “Raid”?

The authorities claimed that the former president indeed took classified documents that needed to be protected. Hence, the sudden investigation was initiated. But, what does the government say about this matter? Did they take part in the sudden investigation? Was the government the one who ordered it in order to protect the USA ? Who’s actually accountable for this action?

Right after the news broke out, the latest president of the USA, Joe Biden, seemed to be giving his statement representing his governments. Biden, however, stated that the White House got nothing to do with the raid, claiming that they were limiting the interactions with the Justice Department officials in order to avoid any hint of political pressure or impropriety.
