MALANG, INDONESIA – October 25, 2026 — In an effort to foster digital transformation and support community-led economic development, the International Marketing Community of BINUS (IMCB), in collaboration with HIMPRENEUR, successfully organized a dedicated community service program titled LENTERA (Langkah Edukasi dan Transformasi Bersama) in Klampok Kasri on Sunday, October 25, 2026. The primary focus of this initiative was to equip BUMDes Karupa, the Village Owned Enterprise of Klampok Kasri, with practical knowledge and technical skills to navigate the modern e-commerce landscape. Although BUMDes Karupa plays a vital role in driving local entrepreneurship, expanding market reach beyond traditional offline channels has remained a major challenge for the enterprise. Recognizing this potential for growth, IMCB and HIMPRENEUR joined forces to bridge the digital divide by designing a tailored hands-on training program. Through this collaborative effort, both organizations aimed to establish a sustainable economic ecosystem directly at the grassroots level by empowering local business actors.
During the interactive workshop, participants from BUMDes Karupa received comprehensive training that covered essential aspects of running a successful online business. The modules guided them through setting up digital stores, optimizing product catalogs, and developing basic digital marketing strategies to build brand awareness. Additionally, the facilitators provided step-by-step instruction on order management, packaging standards, customer service best practices, and secure digital transaction safety. Representatives from IMCB and HIMPRENEUR offered direct one-on-one assistance to ensure that every participant could easily grasp the practical exercises. This hands-on approach allowed the local entrepreneurs to gain immediate confidence in operating popular online marketplace platforms and managing digital customer interactions.
The strategic synergy between IMCB and HIMPRENEUR effectively combined expertise in strategic communication and branding with a practical entrepreneurial mindset. Representatives of BUMDes Karupa expressed strong appreciation for the initiative, emphasizing how these newly acquired digital skills will help bring Klampok Kasri’s local products to a much wider nationwide audience. By mastering e-commerce management, the village enterprise is now better positioned to achieve long-term commercial independence and sustainable economic growth. Both organizing bodies reaffirmed their ongoing commitment to local empowerment and expressed hope that LENTERA (Langkah Edukasi dan Transformasi Bersama) would serve as an inspiring model for future university-community engagements. Ultimately, this successful event highlights the transformative impact that targeted educational outreach can have on rural micro-enterprises.
