HIMME Community Project (HCP) 2026
“Harmony: Togetherness, Balance, and Care.”
Through this program of the Business Management Student Association (HIMME) at BINUS University, the HIMME Community Project (HCP) 2026 was introduced as a tangible expression of care for both the community and the environment. Through this program, HIMME encourages students not only to grow academically and organizationally but also to contribute directly through social initiatives and environmental conservation activities. Guided by the values of compassion, collaboration, and sustainability, HCP served as a platform for students to create a positive impact through meaningful action.
HCP 2026 consisted of three main activities held at different locations, each focusing on environmental education and greening initiatives. Every activity was designed to benefit the community while raising awareness of the importance of preserving the environment through simple yet meaningful actions.
The first activity was held at Panti Asuhan YPMS (YPMS Orphanage), where the committee members and volunteers, together with the children, planted orange trees and ginger plants. In addition to introducing the benefits of productive plants, the activity encouraged children to develop environmental awareness through hands-on planting experiences. The warm and enthusiastic atmosphere made the activity both enjoyable and memorable for everyone involved.

The second activity took place at Rumah Belajar Merah Putih, where participants and the children worked together to create a small garden and plant various types of greenery, including red shoots plants and binahong. Through this activity, participants learned the importance of teamwork, responsibility, and caring for the environment to create a greener and healthier space.

The final activity of HCP 2026 was conducted at Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak Putra Utama 1, where participants and the children created biopore holes as a simple solution to improve water absorption into the soil while supporting organic waste management. This activity provided practical knowledge about sustainable environmental practices and demonstrated how small actions can contribute to preserving the environment.
As the first-ever implementation of this program, HCP 2026 marked an important milestone for HIMME in introducing a community service initiative that combines social responsibility with environmental sustainability. Through these three meaningful activities, participants gained valuable experiences while fostering empathy, teamwork, and a stronger sense of responsibility toward society and the environment. HCP is expected to become one of HIMME’s flagship community service programs, inspiring future members to continue creating meaningful and sustainable impacts for society.
