Different Roots, One Summer Spirit

The spirit of welcoming new journey never gets old, and at BINUS University, it’s celebrated with style. Each year, the Management Student Association (HIMME) brings together new students through one of its signature programs, the Program Keakraban Prestasi Mahasiswa (PKPM). Far from being just another introduction to campus life, PKPM has become a tradition where knowledge, friendship, and inspiration collide in one memorable experience.

This year, PKPM XXV took place on September 13, 2025, at BINUS Alam Sutera Sports Hall, carrying the vibrant theme “HIMMERISE” with the tagline “Different Roots, One Summer Spirit”. The event was carefully designed to not only welcome newcomers, but also spark excitement for their upcoming university journey.

The day opened with an opening ceremony, setting the stage for what was to come. In the afternoon, the spotlight turned to an exciting talk show featuring two remarkable speakers: Esther Lubis and HIMME alumna, Putri Zahrah Pardithia. They captivated the audience by sharing valuable insights and personal stories about navigating student life with purpose and resilience. The event continued with All About HIMME, a lively and welcoming introduction to the organization’s structure, designed to help new students feel at home and connected from the very start.

Throughout the night, the energy peaked during the closing session, with the ultras session setting the tone for the finale and igniting the crowd with chants and unstoppable energy. Performances from UKM BAND and a live DJ also set then brought everyone together in celebration. It wasn’t just entertainment, it became a shared memory in the making, closing the night on a high and unforgettable note. 

But what truly makes PKPM XXV stand out is the deeper purpose behind it. Beyond the stage lights and performances, the event was a space for new students to build connections, explore the supportive community of BINUS Business School, and gain the confidence to step into their new chapter. Staying true to its spirit of togetherness, HIMME through PKPM, continues to foster an environment where students feel empowered to learn, collaborate, and grow not only academically but also personally.

At its core, PKPM XXV embodied the belief that university life is not just about studying, but also about creating meaningful relationships and experiences. With this strong foundation, HIMME ensures that every new student is ready to embrace challenges, opportunities, and the adventure that awaits in their academic journey.
