[HIMME International Festival: Seminar and Talk Show 2023]
Held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the BINUS Alam Sutera Auditorium, we, as the organizing committee, proudly announce the successful execution of our event. This year, HIST centered around the theme “Leading The Change: Navigating The Digital Frontier with Disruptive Innovation.” In alignment with this theme, our commitment was to provide profound and fundamental knowledge to students, enabling them to stay informed about the dynamically evolving global business landscape. We recognize that the world is continuously changing, and we must be prepared to understand and overcome these changes.
We successfully invited several talented speakers who shared a common vision with us in enlightening students. Each speaker addressed a different sub-theme, enriching the learning experience of our event. The seminar, themed “Why Disruptive Innovation is Necessary?,” was delivered by Behram F Irani, a Business Consultant at BCG. He presented real-world examples of disruptive innovations that have impacted various industries. We were privileged to have Behram share insights backed by BCG insights, presented in an accessible manner, and we are honored to have learned from him.
Our talk show, with the sub-theme “Harnessing Disruptive Innovation: Insights from Industry Players,” featured Rajesh Grover, Group Vice President at Kanmo Group, and Sheldon Chuan, Chief Marketing & Digital Officer at Home Credit. They shared their experiences in navigating disruptive innovations within their respective companies, emphasizing strategies to remain competitive amidst constant updates and challenges.
The career talk, focusing on “Navigating Careers in The Digital Age: Building A Path to Success,” was presented by Yanuar Tedjawidjaja, Mergers & Acquisitions Director at Deloitte, Anugrah Pratama, Execution Partner at Ernst & Young, and David Alfa Sunerna, Chief Technology Officer at Bisa Ekspor. They provided insights into key factors for building a successful career in this era, covering basics, balancing, key skills, career development, and more.
Finally, the external training, themed “Level Up Your Project Management Skill Using Asana,” was conducted by Ghea Religia, Growth Marketing Manager at Glints. She instructed us on leveraging the Asana platform for ongoing project management, including prioritizing tasks, starting points, team workload tracking, team reports, team workspaces, and more.
