What’s Going on in Lebanon ?!

On the 4th of August 2020, a large explosion hit the city of Beirut, which killed dozens of people, injured thousands of people, and blew up windows in buildings in the city area. The explosion occurred near the port of Beirut, which caused a shock wave in the form of a large cloud that damaged cars and various buildings. President Michel Aoun reported that the explosion was caused by 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate that was stored in a building. Ammonium nitrate used as fertilizer in agriculture and also as an explosive material.

Now, rescuers are searching for more than 100 people who have been declared missing by an explosion that rocked the port area and damaged about half the capital city of Beirut. The rescuers also have the plan to build mortuary rooms for explosion victims in Beirut. The Prime Minister, Hassan Diab stated that the Lebanese Government would immediately investigate further the cause of this massive explosion. President Michel Aoun expressed his gratitude to the rescue workers and civilians who helped each other in this incident.
