Free 2 Play Fridays: The Jackbox

Free 2 Play Fridays are finally here again!!! Two months ago, on May 20, 2022, HIMTI Senayan held its first Free 2 Play Fridays this year. Free 2 Play Friday is a game night event held by HIMTI Senayan on the last Friday of each month where students can play various party games together via Discord. The purpose of this game night is to forget all university works for a moment and have a moment to relax and have fun together.

In May, the game that was played was “The Jacbox Party Pack 8”. The Party Pack is a collection of online games created by the Jackbox Games studio containing 5 different games that can accommodate from 1-8 players. The games are designed to appeal to everyone in the room on Discord, Zoom call, or Twitch stream with various game categories such as drawing games, writing games, trivia games, and hidden identity games. On the game night, almost all games in the party pack are played including “Job Job”. “Job Job” is a game where you use other people’s words to answer interview questions creating funny and unique answers to get votes, and the player with the most points in the end gets the job. Playing all those games were entertaining and fun, plus you get to get to know new peoples making new friends.

So, that was the Free 2 Play Fridays in May, sadly Free 2 Play Fridays can’t be held in June and in July due to being busy with final exams in the same week in June and many go on a holiday in July. But, don’t worry, Free 2 Play Friday will come back in August and hopefully in the following months. What makes it more exciting is because of the pandemic, everything is conducted online including Free 2 Play Fridays, but with the pandemic started to calm down, there are chances that Free 2 Play Fridays might be held offline so we can have fun while being able to see each other’s faces.
