PoW: An Alphabet Poem of a Hopeless Romantic by Radikha Freya Anjani

An Alphabet Poem of a Hopeless Romantic

A is how you begin

Behind you was where I was in the bus and i

Can tell you what happens when the sun sets on your

Dewy skin, honey brown hair

Every time you move it’s like the sky dances and i

Fall, deeper and deeper, with no warning, a

Genesis of an innocent act of admiration that turned

Heart-wrecking, for your glances are never for me, and when

I listen to songs I think of you, but you never do. in this tale there’s

Just you, me, and the emptiness between

Killing me softly with that careless stare, I will

Live billions of lives before the

Moon rises alongside the sun like

Never will you

Orbit me, as I do with you

Playlists after playlists you make of

Quarrels with past lovers but none will ever be

Rightfully about me

Stunning,

Teethy, big, adorable smile

U will always reside in me as the one that never got to spark, I

Vowed to never hurt myself no more, so

With this, I rest my case on you

X is the third letter of how

You begin, and even then

Zeal will always be in the air where you are

– Written in Freya’s high school days, though she persists to be a hopeless romantic.
