Online business or Electronic business (e-business) is all activities of business that is done in support by information and communication technologies (ICT). In e-business there is e-commerce, which is the process of buying and selling products or services, transfer process of fund or data and marketing activities over a computer network, usually the internet. The business transaction occurs in Business to Business (B2B), Business to Consumer (B2C), Consumer to Consumer (C2C), Government to Government (G2G), Government to Consumer (G2C) and Government to Business (G2B). With e-commerce it brings a good impact for the producer, retailer and consumer.

Online Shopping in Indonesia firstly introduced by bhinneka.com in 1999 that specialize in electronics and information technology. After the economic crisis in 1998, bhinneka has suffered loss which brings the company almost got bankrupt. Nicholas Tio and Hendrik Tio, as the CEO of bhinekka.com see that the development of internet at that time brings a good prospect for their business. And finally bhinneka.com becomes the pioneer of online store in Indonesia. The success of bhinneka.com motivate many people start to open their business with online store concept. These affairs increase the economic activities in Indonesia and competition level either domestic or international.

            Under Presidential Regulation No. 39/2014, “The government included e-commerce among the industries that are closed to foreign investment, requiring e-commerce businesses to be wholly owned by local players”. It is intended to decrease the unemployment in Indonesia by giving them a chance to build their own business starting from a small business that can be done through internet. The requirements to build online business is relative easy, they only need to make an email and then promote their business through social media.
