#MeetOurLeaders: Get to Know Our LCVP TM, Naura Azzahra
This week, we had the opportunity to #MeetOurLeaders and dive into the AIESEC journey of our current Local Committee Vice President of Talent Management (LCVP TM), Naura Azzahra. We have asked several questions regarding her AIESEC journey, and here’s what she had to say.
How did you find out about AIESEC and what made you decide to join?
I found out about AIESEC from my predecessor ka Icha, and after hearing how much AIESEC has helped her to grow and searching about the purpose of AIESEC online, I felt like AIESEC could be the right platform for me to develop my leadership skills.
What made you want to take up the role of LCVP TM?
The reason why I decided to take the role of LCVP TM was because I felt like I wanted to sharpen my skills in Talent Management/HR field. Also at that time, I already took up a role, hence i want to ensure that my LC will have a successor and be able to sustain so that the effort made by my predecessor will not go to waste.
What was the toughest challenge you’ve faced in your experience? How did you overcome it?
Toughest time during my LCVP journey that I had to face was during the time I was terminally ill and had to stay in hospital. It was hard for me to communicate but I tried my best to still join meetings and lead my team. Fortunately in the end, after briefing my team leaders, they are capable of helping me handle the situation even without me being around, so thankful to have them!
How is your experience as an LCVP so far? Any quotes or motivations for your teammates?
My experience as an LCVP has been very bittersweet, it’s not always sunshine and rainbows, there are always ups and downs. But overall, with the experience I got, connections I made and my wonderful TM peeps, I’d say it’s all worth it!
Just because things aren’t easy right now doesn’t mean it’ll always be that way, good things will come to those who believe in it!
To conclude, Naura Azzahra was inspired to take up the role of an LCVP TM to sharpen her skills in Talent Management/HR field and that as a successor, she will be able to sustain her LC. Whenever she feels like giving up, she takes a deep breath and tells herself, “Just because things aren’t easy right now doesn’t mean it’ll always be that way, good things will come to those who believe in it!”. By sharing her experiences as an LCVP TM at AIESEC in BINUS, she hopes that she can inspire others to be future leaders too!
