SDG Level Up “Better Community, Brighter Future : Empower Against Sexual Harassment #IgniteChangeEmpowerHope

SDG Level Up! merupakan sebuah acara yang diadakan oleh AIESEC in BINUS yang bertujuan memberi wadah bagi kalangan muda untuk berdiskusi mengenai berbagai macam topik seputar Sustainable Development Goals atau SDGs, sebuah bagian dari The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development yang disetujui oleh negara-negara anggota PBB pada tahun 2015 lalu dan secara keseluruhan terdiri dari 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Impact Circle membahas bagaimana perkembangan dari SDGs tersebut, dan bagaimana implementasi SDGs tersebut di Indonesia. Untuk memfasilitasi diskusi-diskusi tersebut, SDG Level Up! akan mengundang narasumber yang ahli dalam bidangnya untuk berbagi wawasan mengenai SDGs yang terpilih untuk dijadikan tema acara.

Kekerasan seksual masih sering terjadi dan menjadi hal yang tabu dalam kehidupan di Indonesia. Dengan ini SDG Level Up! memilih topik SDG ke-11 mengenai sustainabilities cities and communities. Poin SDG ini memiliki relevansi dalam mengubah kota-kota menjadi inklusif, aman, dan berkelanjutan. Maka dari itu pada indikator 11:7 yang mencakup rata-rata persentase area perkotaan yang disediakan sebagai ruang terbuka untuk digunakan oleh semua orang, tanpa memandang jenis kelamin, usia, atau kehadiran orang-orang dengan disabilitas. Pemilihan SDG ini berdasarkan pandangan kami kepada masyarakat yang masih belum sadar betapa pentingnya mencegah kekerasan seksual dalam lingkup sosial.

Berdasarkan data KEMENPPA perempuan terdapat 4.534 korban laki-laki dan 19.497 korban perempuan. Dengan jumlah yang tidak sedikit, hal ini membutuhkan perhatian yang serius. Dengan itu, pada acara SDG Level Up: “Better Community, Brighter Future: Empower Against Sexual Harassment” dengan kampanye #IgniteChangeEmpowerHope hadir untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan edukasi mengenai informasi tersebut untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat Indonesia. Melalui acara ini, kami berharap peserta dapat memperluas pengetahuan mereka, menemukan solusi untuk tantangan yang dihadapi, serta berperan dalam menyebarkan kesadaran di komunitas sekitarnya dengan tujuan membangun masyarakat inklusif.

Acara SDG Level Up! tahun ini memiliki dua konsep acara secara online dan on-site. Pada sesi online kali ini berbentuk webinar dengan dipandu oleh There Angeline Setyawan sebagai Master of Ceremony dan Timothy Kennedy sebagai moderator.  Acara dibuka dengan perkenalan diri oleh Master of Ceremony dengan pembacaan peraturan acara, pembacaan agenda, sambutan dari Ephraim Ryan sebagai Person in Charge (PIC) dan Ailsa Anarghia sebagai Organizing Committee President (OCP) dilanjutkan dengan pengisian entry ticket, dan membangun suasana dengan melakukan check-in kepada peserta. Acara selanjutnya yaitu perkenalan moderator yang menghadirkan Timothy Kennedy dengan sebagai Most Outstanding Student of Public Health Universitas Indonesia dan ahli dalam Gender Equality Enthusiast. 

Dalam acara ini, Anathasia Citra, Co Founder of Saling Jaga Indonesia & Social Activist, menjadi pembicara utama. Anathasia yang dipanggil Kak Thisi ini aktif dalam memperjuangkan isu-isu anti-kekerasan seksual dan isu-isu seksualitas. Dalam presentasinya, Kak Thisi berbicara tentang cara mengenali berbagai bentuk pelecehan yang terjadi di tempat umum, serta bagaimana mengatasi situasi tersebut jika terjadi pada diri sendiri atau orang terdekat yang berlangsung dalam format satu arah. Setelah presentasi, dilanjutkan dengan sesi berbagi pengalaman, di mana para peserta dapat berbagi pengalaman mereka terkait kekerasan seksual melalui platform Padlet. Peserta diberi kesempatan untuk menceritakan pengalaman mereka secara anonim, sehingga mereka merasa bebas untuk berbicara tanpa merasa teridentifikasi.

Sesi selanjutnya diisi dengan tanya jawab antara peserta dengan speaker dimana peserta dapat menyampaikan pertanyaan melalui chat box atau secara langsung. Pada akhir acara, dilakukan sesi dokumentasi dan penyerahan e-sertifikat kepada para pembicara sebagai bentuk apresiasi.

Acara SDG Level Up! tahun ini juga mengadakan on site event di sekolah Syafana Islamic School BSD dengan tujuan memberikan edukasi kepada siswa dan siswi SMA. Awalnya dimulai dengan pembukaan oleh PIC acara, Ephraim Ryan yang diadakan di perpustakaan sekolah syafana yang ditemani oleh pihak sekolah sembari pihak sekolah memberikan kata sambutan untuk pihak AIESEC in BINUS karena sudah memilih sekolah Syafana untuk tujuan SDG Level Up! Selanjutnya sesi pertama, Organizing Committee Outsource (OCs) memberikan materi yang sudah dipersiapkan ke tiap kelas yang sudah disediakan, materi ini berisikan mengenai bahaya kekerasan seksual  dan bagaimana mencegahnya. Dilanjutkan dengan sesi kedua yaitu sesi tanya jawab serta sharing session untuk murid-murid Syafana. Terakhir, setelah sesi tanya jawab berakhir Organizing Committee Outsource (OCs) menutup acara dan kembali ke Universitas Bina Nusantara.

Acara SDG Level Up! ini dirancang dengan tujuan berpartisipasi aktif dalam memerangi kekerasan seksual yang dapat terjadi di berbagai tempat dan waktu. Acara ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman peserta, agar mereka dapat lebih waspada dan tahu cara menghindari kekerasan seksual. Hal ini sejalan dengan mendukung pencapaian Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDG) ke-11: Membangun Kota dan Permukiman yang Inklusif, Aman, Tangguh, dan Berkelanjutan.

ENGLISH VERSION

SDG Level Up! is an event held by AIESEC in BINUS which aims to provide a forum for young people to discuss various topics regarding Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs, a part of The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development which was approved by UN member countries in 2015. and overall consists of 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Impact Circle discusses the development of the SDGs, and how the SDGs are implemented in Indonesia. To facilitate these discussions, SDG Level Up! will invite resource persons who are experts in their fields to share insights about the SDGs chosen to be the theme of the event.

Sexual violence still occurs frequently and is taboo in life in Indonesia. With this SDG Level Up! chose the 11th SDG topic regarding the sustainability of cities and communities. This SDG point has relevance in transforming cities to be inclusive, safe and sustainable. Therefore, the 11:7 indicator includes the average percentage of urban areas provided as open space for use by everyone, regardless of gender, age, or the presence of people with disabilities. The choice of SDG is based on our view that society is still unaware of how important it is to prevent sexual violence in the social sphere.

Based on KEMENPPA data, there were 4,534 male victims and 19,497 female victims. With such a large number, this requires serious attention. With that, the SDG Level Up event: “Better Community, Brighter Future: Empower Against Sexual Harassment” with the #IgniteChangeEmpowerHope campaign was present to provide outreach and education regarding this information to increase awareness of the Indonesian people. Through this event, we hope that participants can expand their knowledge, find solutions to the challenges they face, and play a role in spreading awareness in their surrounding communities with the aim of building an inclusive society.

SDG Level Up! This year there are two event concepts, online and on-site. This online session took the form of a webinar guided by There Angeline Setyawan as Master of Ceremony and Timothy Kennedy as moderator. The event opened with a self-introduction by the Master of Ceremony, reading the event regulations, reading the agenda, remarks from Ephraim Ryan as Person in Charge (PIC) and Ailsa Anarghia as Organizing Committee President (OCP), followed by filling in the entry ticket, and building the atmosphere by checking -in to participants. The next event was the introduction of the moderator who presented Timothy Kennedy as the Most Outstanding Student of Public Health at the University of Indonesia and an expert in Gender Equality Enthusiast.

In this event, Anathasia Citra, Co Founder of Saling Jaga Indonesia & Social Activist, was the main speaker. Anathasia, who is called Kak Thisi, is active in fighting for anti-sexual violence and sexuality issues. In her presentation, Kak Thisi talked about how to recognize various forms of harassment that occur in public places, as well as how to deal with the situation if it happens to yourself or someone close to you, which takes place in a one-way format. After the presentation, it was followed by an experience sharing session, where participants could share their experiences regarding sexual violence through the Padlet platform. Participants were given the opportunity to share their experiences anonymously, so they felt free to speak without feeling identified.

The next session was filled with questions and answers between participants and speakers where participants could submit questions via chat box or directly. At the end of the event, a documentation session was held and e-certificates were handed over to the speakers as a form of appreciation.

SDG Level Up! This year we also held an on site event at the Syafana Islamic School BSD with the aim of providing education to high school students and students. Next, in the first session, the Outsource Organizing Committee (OCs) provided prepared material to each class that had been provided. This material contained the dangers of sexual violence and how to prevent it. Followed by the second session, namely a question and answer session and sharing session for Syafana students. Finally, after the question and answer session ended, the Outsource Organizing Committee (OCs) closed the event and returned to Bina Nusantara University.

SDG Level Up! It is designed with the aim of actively participating in the fight against sexual violence that can occur in various places and times. This event aims to increase participants’ knowledge and understanding, so that they can be more alert and know how to avoid sexual violence. This is in line with supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11: Building Inclusive, Safe, Resilient and Sustainable Cities and Settlements.
