Youth Today x oGTa 2.0 – Reaching Your Wildest Dreams: Fearlessly Adapting to the Realm of International Internships #InterYOUTHvention
Youth Today merupakan sebuah acara yang diadakan oleh AIESEC in Indonesia yang bertujuan memberi wadah bagi kalangan muda untuk mengembangkan jiwa kepemimpinannya. Para pemuda harus dapat mengimplementasi jiwa kepemimpinannya melalui berbagai macam praktik dalam kehidupan. Para Pemuda harus memiliki keterampilan dan kesiapan diri untuk terjun langsung ke dalam masyarakat guna masa depan yang baik. Oleh karena itu, Youth Today pada kali ini akan berkolaborasi dengan Outgoing Global Talent (oGTa) yang merupakan produk magang internasional milik AIESEC. Outgoing Global Talent (oGTa) adalah program magang internasional yang ditawarkan oleh AIESEC yang memberikan kesempatan kepada pemuda untuk mendapatkan pengalaman praktis dan mengembangkan keterampilan profesional dan pribadi mereka dengan berpartisipasi dalam magang internasional.
Youth Today x oGTa akan menjembatani mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan mengenai persiapan dan kesempatan magang di luar negeri. Sehingga kami mengusung SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth yang bertujuan mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan, tenaga kerja penuh dan produktif, serta pekerjaan yang layak bagi semua. Dengan bertemakan “International Internships and Sustainable Career Growth”, kami membawakan topik berjudul “Reaching Your Wildest Dreams: Fearlessly Adapting to the Realm of International Internships” dengan harapan para pemuda dapat selalu mengeksplor dirinya untuk menghadapi berbagai rintangan untuk memperjuangkan impiannya magang di luar negeri yang dapat meningkatkan kualitas diri dan kualitas karirnya di masa depan.
Youth Today x oGTa 2.0 telah dilaksanakan pada hari Kamis, 11 Januari 2024 melalui platform online ZOOM Video Conference yang dihadiri oleh sekitar 470 lebih partisipan, baik BINUSIAN maupun publik. Acara ini dimulai dengan pembukaan dari Diandra Kayla Azzahra sebagai Master of Ceremony (MC) dan Najwa Khadijah sebagai moderator, yang dilanjutkan dengan pembacaan peraturan acara, membangun suasana dengan melakukan check-in kepada peserta, pembacaan agenda, penayangan video promosi Cakap sebagai main partner, serta penyebutan media partner dan community partner. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan sambutan dari Ricky sebagai Person in Charge (PIC) dan Hanifa Az Zahra Anwar sebagai Organizing Committee President (OCP).
Acara inti dimulai dengan pembicara pertama yang dibawakan oleh Kak Puspita Dea Chantika Constant dengan topik “Blissful Determination: Mastering Success in the World of Internships”. Peserta akan mendapatkan pengetahuan mengenai benefit magang di luar negeri, proses persiapan magang, proses mencari dan melamar pekerjaannya. Pembicara juga menceritakan pengalamannya selama magang di luar negeri, seperti bagaimana lingkungan kerjanya, bagaimana cara beliau beradaptasi, dan dan bagaimana beliau mengembangkan diri melalui magang di luar negeri. Sesi ini bersifat interaksi 1 arah dan dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya-jawab melalui room chat ZOOM dan fitur QnA di ZOOM.
Untuk mencairkan suasana dan menumbuhkan kembali semangat para partisipan, dilakukan ice breaking dengan menebak negara dari cuplikan video, gambar, dan kata yang diberikan. Setelah terlihat kembali antusias para partisipan, acara dilanjutkan dengan sesi kedua yang mengangkat topik “Intercontinental Chronicles: Revealing the Real Truth about Internships Abroad” yang dibawakan oleh facilitator dari HR Company, Kak Edwin Djakaria. Sesi ini dirancang dengan metode talkshow di mana moderator akan melakukan tanya jawab dengan facilitator mengenai persiapan apa saja yang diperlukan untuk kerja di luar negeri. Selanjutnya, supaya partisipan dapat mengetahui gambaran CV yang benar dan tepat untuk melamar magang di luar negeri, kami menyiapkan sesi CV Breakdown di mana Kak Edwin akan me-review CV 3 orang partisipan terpilih. Sesi ini berlangsung interaktif dua sesi, Kak Edwin akan menanyakan kepada partisipan terpilih mengenai profesi yang ingin dilamar dan negara tujuannya. Selanjutnya Kak Edwin akan memberikan feedback untuk CV partisipan tersebut. Kemudian dilakukan pula sesi tanya-jawab melalui room chat ZOOM dan fitur QnA di ZOOM.
Acara selanjutnya adalah pengumuman Best Delegates untuk tiga partisipan yang aktif selama acara berlangsung. Kemudian, untuk memenuhi minat para partisipan untuk mendapatkan kesempatan magang di luar negeri, terdapat sesi oGTa advertisement oleh Team leader dan staff dari Customer Experience & Quality Control, yaitu Arnetta Brenda dan Rayyan Karim Bakarbessy. Acara ini ditutup dengan dokumentasi seluruh partisipan, check out session, penayangan video promosi Cakap, serta penyebutan media partner dan community partner. MC dan moderator kemudian melanjutkan dengan pengumuman Call to Action yang harus dilakukan oleh partisipan dan diunggah ke Instagram story menggunakan template yang telah disediakan panitia. Selanjutnya peserta diminta mengisi exit forms dan satisfaction survey yang tersedia di layar (qr code) atau link di kolom komentar.
Secara keseluruhan, acara Youth Today x oGTa 2.0 “Reaching Your Wildest Dreams: Fearlessly Adapting to the Realm of International Internships” telah berjalan dengan sukses, dimulai dari perencanaan acara, penyusunan acara, sampai eksekusi di hari-H. Tingkat keaktifan partisipan dan interaksinya dengan MC dan moderator membuat event ini cukup ramai dan interaktif. Dalam form feedback yang diberikan juga dapat diketahui bahwa semua partisipan dan pembicara memberikan respon yang sangat puas dengan berjalannya acara ini. Kami percaya dengan berhasilnya acara ini, akan membuka kesempatan AIESEC in BINUS kedepannya untuk mengembangkan acara-acara yang jauh lebih baik lagi dan memiliki dampak positif yang lebih nyata bagi lingkungan sekitar.

Youth Today is an event held by AIESEC in Indonesia which aims to provide a platform for young people to develop their leadership spirit. Young people must be able to implement their leadership spirit through various kinds of practices in life. Young people must have the skills and readiness to enter directly into society for a good future. Therefore, this time Youth Today will collaborate with Outgoing Global Talent (oGTa), which is AIESEC’s international internship product. Outgoing Global Talent (oGTa) is an international internship program offered by AIESEC that provides youth with the opportunity to gain practical experience and develop their professional and personal skills by participating in international internships.
Youth Today x oGTa will provide a bridge for students to gain knowledge regarding preparation and internship opportunities abroad. So we are promoting SDG 8: Decent work and economic growth which aims to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth, a full and productive workforce, and decent work for all. With the theme “International Internships and Sustainable Career Growth”, we present a topic entitled “Reaching Your Wildest Dreams: Fearlessly Adapting to the Realm of International Internships” with the hope that young people can always explore themselves to face various obstacles to fight for their dream of interning abroad. can improve their self-quality and the quality of their career in the future.
Youth Today x oGTa 2.0 was held on Thursday, January 11 2024 via the online platform ZOOM Video Conference which was attended by around 470 participants, both BINUSIAN and the public. This event began with an opening from Diandra Kayla Azzahra as Master of Ceremony (MC) and Najwa Khadijah as moderator, which was continued with reading the event rules, building an atmosphere by checking in with participants, reading the agenda, showing promotional videos for Cakap as main partner, as well as mention of media partners and community partners. Then continued with remarks from Ricky as Person in Charge (PIC) and Hanifa Az Zahra Anwar as Organizing Committee President (OCP).
The main event began with the first speaker presented by Ms. Puspita Dea Chantika Constant with the topic “Blissful Determination: Mastering Success in the World of Internships”. Participants will gain knowledge about the benefits of internships abroad, the internship preparation process, the process of searching for and applying for jobs. The speaker also shared his experiences during his internship abroad, such as the work environment, how he adapted, and how he developed himself through internships abroad. This session is a 1-way interaction and is followed by a question and answer session via the ZOOM chat room and the QnA feature on ZOOM.
To lighten the atmosphere and revive the enthusiasm of the participants, an ice breaker was carried out by guessing the country from the video footage, pictures and words provided. After the participants were again enthusiastic, the event continued with the second session which raised the topic “Intercontinental Chronicles: Revealing the Real Truth about Internships Abroad” which was presented by the facilitator from HR Company, Kak Edwin Djakaria. This session is designed using a talk show method where the moderator will conduct questions and answers with the facilitator regarding what preparations are needed to work abroad. Next, so that participants can know the correct and appropriate CV description for applying for an internship abroad, we are preparing a CV Breakdown session where Brother Edwin will review the CVs of 3 selected participants. This session will take place interactively in two sessions, Brother Edwin will ask the selected participants about the profession they want to apply for and their destination country. Next, Brother Edwin will provide feedback on the participant’s CV. Then there was also a question and answer session via the ZOOM chat room and the QnA feature on ZOOM.
The next event was the announcement of the Best Delegates for the three participants who were active during the event. Then, to meet the participants’ interest in getting internship opportunities abroad, there was an oGTa advertisement session by the Team leader and staff from Customer Experience & Quality Control, namely Arnetta Brenda and Rayyan Karim Bakarbessy. This event closed with documentation of all participants, check out session, showing Cakap promotional videos, as well as mention of media partners and community partners. The MC and moderator then continued with the announcement of the Call to Action which must be carried out by participants and uploaded to the Instagram story using the template provided by the committee. Next, participants are asked to fill out the exit form and satisfaction survey which is available on the screen (qr code) or the link in the comments column.
Overall, the Youth Today x oGTa 2.0 event “Reaching Your Wildest Dreams: Fearlessly Adapting to the Realm of International Internships” has been successful, starting from event planning, organizing the event, to execution on the D-day. The level of activeness of the participants and their interaction with the MC and moderator made this event quite lively and interactive. In the feedback form provided, it can also be seen that all participants and speakers gave responses that were very satisfied with the progress of this event. We believe that the success of this event will open up opportunities for AIESEC in BINUS in the future to develop even better events and have a more real positive impact on the surrounding environment.
