GlobalVille #EdVenture – Perspectives in Education: Exploring Education from Multiple Angles
GlobalVille, sebuah inisiatif dari AIESEC in BINUS, merupakan acara yang bertujuan memberikan wadah bagi kalangan muda untuk berdiskusi tentang berbagai topik seputar Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDGs merupakan bagian dari The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, yang disetujui oleh negara-negara anggota PBB pada 2015, terdiri dari 17 tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan. GlobalVille membahas perkembangan dan implementasi SDGs di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada pendidikan berkualitas (SDG 4).
Acara ini mengusung format talkshow online dengan tema “Perspectives in Education: Exploring Education from Multiple Angles” dan menggunakan kampanye hashtag #EdVenture. Tujuan utama adalah memberikan peluang kepada peserta untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman hidup dan pendidikan di luar negeri. Acara tersebut diadakan pada Rabu, 10 Januari 2024, melalui platform Zoom, berhasil menarik lebih dari 450 partisipan.
Konsep acara tahun ini adalah online talkshow, dipandu oleh Master of Ceremony Audrey Nasywa dan Adzkia Khansa sebagai Moderator. Sesi dimulai dengan pembacaan peraturan, agenda, dan sambutan dari Bhisma Yudha S. sebagai Person in Charge (PIC) serta Illene Michaela sebagai Organizing Committee President (OCP). Moderator Adzkia Khansa kemudian memperkenalkan acara.
GlobalVille mengundang tiga pembicara, termasuk Ahmad Abrahim (Student Ambassador at heriot watt University), Nurul Izzah (BINUS student exchange dari Malaysia), dan Helena .P. (BINUS student exchange dari Belanda). Mereka, yang memiliki latar belakang edukasi yang berbeda, berbagi pengalaman mereka dalam dunia pendidikan serta membahas terkait praktek-praktek yang dapat mengusung kualitas pendidikan terbaik.
Selama acara, peserta dapat berinteraksi langsung melalui platform Kahoot yang disiapkan oleh panitia. Sesi tanya jawab antara peserta dan pembicara juga diselenggarakan, di mana peserta dapat mengajukan pertanyaan melalui chat box atau secara langsung.
Pada akhir acara, dilakukan sesi dokumentasi dan penyerahan e-sertifikat kepada para pembicara sebagai bentuk apresiasi. GlobalVille berhasil menciptakan ruang untuk berbagi pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang berharga dalam konteks pendidikan dan pembangunan berkelanjutan.

GlobalVille, an initiative by AIESEC in BINUS, is an event aimed at providing a platform for young people to discuss various topics related to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDGs are part of The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, approved by UN member countries in 2015, consisting of 17 goals for sustainable development. GlobalVille discusses the progress and implementation of SDGs in Indonesia, with a focus on quality education (SDG 4).
The event adopts an online talk show format with the theme “Perspectives in Education: Exploring Education from Multiple Angles” and utilizes the hashtag campaign #EdVenture. The main objective is to provide participants with the opportunity to explore life and education experiences abroad. The event took place on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, via the Zoom platform, successfully attracting more than 450 participants.
The concept of this year’s event is an online talk show, guided by Master of Ceremony Audrey Nasywa and moderated by Adzkia Khansa. The session began with the reading of rules, the agenda, and remarks from Bhisma Yudha S. as the person in charge (PIC) and Illene Michaela as the Organizing Committee President (OCP). Moderator Adzkia Khansa then introduced the event.
GlobalVille invited three speakers, including Ahmad Abrahim (Student Ambassador at Heriot Watt University), Nurul Izzah (BINUS student exchange from Malaysia), and Helena P. (BINUS student exchange from the Netherlands). Coming from different educational backgrounds, they shared their experiences in the world of education as well as discussing best practices that can promote the quality of education.
Throughout the event, participants could interact directly through the Kahoot platform prepared by the committee. A Q&A session between participants and speakers was also held, where participants could ask questions through the chat box or directly.
At the end of the event, there was a documentation session and the presentation of e-certificates to the speakers as a form of appreciation. GlobalVille successfully created a space for sharing valuable knowledge and experiences in the context of education and sustainable development.
