PILMAPRES Binus University 2023
On Saturday, March 18, 2023, BINUS organized Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi (PILMAPRES) BINUS competition at BINUS’ Anggrek campus in Jakarta, an event organized by the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, under the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education aimed to appreciate and honor outstanding students who are willing to bring positive change to Indonesia.
This year’s PILMAPRES competition in BINUS featured seven candidates, each representing a faculty at BINUS;
- Edward Hartanto Enrico Abadi: BINUSIAN 2024 majoring in Business Information Technology at BINUS Bekasi representing the School of Information Systems
- Annisa Saptayulia Belvanugraha: BINUSIAN 2025 majoring in Food Technology at BINUS Alam Sutera representing the Faculty of Engineering
- Delviana Pramata: BINUSIAN 2024 majoring in International Relations at BINUS Kemanggisan representing the Faculty of Humanities
- Jessica Christabel Gan: BINUSIAN 2025 majoring in Film at BINUS Alam Sutera representing the School of Design
- Maevy Marvella: BINUSIAN 2024 majoring in Mobile Application and Technology at BINUS Kemanggisan representing the School of Computer Science
- Olivia Valentina: BINUSIAN 2024 majoring in Marketing Communication at BINUS Kemanggisan representing the Faculty of Digital Communication Hotel and Tourism
- Thalea Christy Nathaniela: BINUSIAN 2024 majoring in Entrepreneurship – Business Creation at BINUS Malang representing the BINUS Business School Faculty
The candidates who participated in the competition had been carefully selected based on their outstanding academic achievements, leadership qualities, and active involvement in extracurricular activities.
Throughout the competition, the candidates demonstrated their exceptional knowledge, skills, and abilities as they presented their research, projects, and case studies with confidence and clarity, impressing the judges and the audience with their creativity and ingenuity. The presentations covered a wide range of topics, from innovative technology solutions to pressing social issues, showcasing the candidates’ diverse interests and areas of expertise.
In addition to the presentation session, the candidates also faced a challenging question and answer session, where they were asked to respond to complex case studies that tested their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The candidates showed remarkable composure and analytical thinking, impressing the judges and the audience with their insightful and well-reasoned answers.
After a thorough evaluation process, which included both the judges’ assessments and the Binusian voting, two outstanding candidates were announced as the winners of the 2023 PILMAPRES competition. Thalea Christy Nathaniela, who represented the BINUS Business School faculty, was named the 2023 favorite MAWAPRES, while Edward Hartanto Enrico Abadi, who represented the School of Information Systems, was named the best MAWAPRES at the event.
