5 Tips to Pass the TOEIC Test
Hi friends, this time we will post about tips & tricks. This time we will discuss tips to pass the TOEIC test. Do you know what TOEIC is? TOEIC stands for The Test of English for International Communication which aims to find out how far your English proficiency is in everyday life. The TOEIC test is usually held for people who want to apply for jobs in multinational companies (companies that have branches in many countries) or in companies that use English in their work environment.
In the TOEIC test there are 200 questions consisting of 100 listening questions and 100 reading questions. The range of scores given is 10 – 990 points. And the average company sets a score in the range of 500 in order to pass this TOEIC test.
The TOEIC test is also tested in a series of entrance tests for several job recruits.
So is the test difficult? It all depends on the intentions of the guys.. If we suddenly take the test without any provisions, it’s clear that we will fail the TOEIC test. But if we have prepared everything from afar, it will definitely pass easily 👍
Okay, and here we will share tips ahead of time to pass the TOEIC test based on people’s experiences, and it works 100%!
- Often – Often Watch English Movies
Watching English films may not seem serious, but this is where the ability to hear foreign vocabulary will unconsciously be trained. You will understand foreign sentences that you have never heard with the help of subtitles. After slowly you can begin to master the English in the film, start learning to watch other films without using subtitles. You will automatically proceed from initially not being able to understand what sentence you heard from the film to being able to listen and understand it by heart. This will be very helpful during the TOEIC test in the listening section.
- Chat Using English
One way to master the TOEIC test is to get used to chatting using English itself. By chatting, you will hone your skills on how to pronounce vocab in English. This will have a very good impact on the TOEIC test later because it will help you understand vocabulary if there are voices that are not heard clearly during the listening section. You can use your free time to practice speaking English with your classmates or even your English teacher to hone your skills.
- Change the Language Settings on Your Gadget to English
It’s very trivial indeed, but this makes us not rely on the Indonesian language alone. Operating a full gadget using English will train you to understand vocabulary that we rarely encounter in school English lessons. If you can already operate the gadget in English, continue using English on your social media account, friend! This will also help you in doing the TOEIC reading section test.
- Read more books in English
Books are the repository of English vocabularies. In the book you can find a lot of different types of sentence structures. There are various types of English books, from comics to novels you can make as a means of practicing reading and understanding English. This will help hone your skills and support the TOEIC reading section of the test.
- Practice TOEIC Questions and Simulate
Now on the Internet, there are lots of websites that provide simulations for the TOEIC test, friend. You can easily access it at home and perform simulations just in front of a computer/laptop screen. The practice questions given are not limited so that you can do as many simulations as possible until you master this TOEIC test, and the simulations provided are also made as close as possible to the original technicalities, making it easier for you to be better prepared for the real TOEIC test.
Footnotes:
To be able to pass the TOEIC test, you can’t do it in an instant way, moreover the TOEIC test is related to a language whose way of mastering it is not by memorizing but having to get used to it. 👍
Hope it is useful! ️
