Impact Circle & SDG Level Up’s Impact on Youth

WHAT THEY SAID

I found myself second guessing my decision right after registering to be an OC. Challenging myself to try something new, I impulsively registered. I was also assigned to Delegates Service rather than the division I had aimed for. It seemed like a bummer at first; I wasn’t looking forward to dealing with people, and I didn’t know most of my fellow OCs.

I was taken aback when those experiences turned out to be the best! I had fun managing delegates, became more acquainted with AIESECers, and my OCVP was fantastic! One of my goals when I joined AIESEC was to be more open and friendly to new people, and I believe that this has been a great step forward for me. But there was one thing that I never expected: it became a respite from the monotony of my major studies! It was a truly wonderful experience, I would 10/10 recommend it to you!

As OC President of SDG Level Up, this project certainly challenged my views on leadership and team management. But surprisingly, the biggest development I noticed was the boost on my EQ and interpersonal skills. I was able to emphatize, communicate and adapt better in teams; thus, enhancing my problem solving and conflict resolution skills!

However, the most meaningful thing about being part of SDG Level Up was the opportunity AIESEC in BINUS gave me to reach out and impact over 1000+ youth all over Indonesia during this pandemic. Through the 20-day journey, it was beyond fulfilling to see how we successfully delivered education and encouraged youths to increase public awareness of SDG 8 during these uncertain times!
